Mobility as a Service MAAS
There is the debut of driverless cars and the use of more available non taxi transportation by Uber and Lyft. These are pioneering aspects to introduction of automated mobility that will make the standard passenger car a thing of he past.
Many cities globally are on the verge of this service. Pollution problems from a petrochemical industry that's going down in the transportation world and other aspects are bringing this about. No more parking garages to worry about, accident rate and congestion reduction and greater convenience are the literal drivers here!
Eventually with advances in infrastructure this revolution will reach the suburban and rural areas also.
As always this will result in reinvigorated commerce and investment by the sponsoring companies.

Mike - Great observations. Think of it no fuel bills, no auto insurance, no regular maintenace and best of all no long commutes. Thanks for posting.
Very interesting. Just think what would happen if we lost our phones or tablets or computers. We would not be able to communicate, we would not be able access Google Maps, we wouldn't be able to contact transportation...we would be lost. Someone needs to invent a chip that gets imbedded into the skin. We will need the ability to talk to that chip so our technology is always with us and accessible! (Not to be implanted on the shoulder, )
I cant find it right now Susan my scroll bar is acting up. But somewhere in m blog roll I blogged about wearable and insert able electronics that could do this function! They are on to it!

Thank you. I value this greatly. Refreshed content is an important part of life Susan. There will be pauses of necessity but I'll always be there checking!
I expect before this is fully functioning I will be gone - I enjoy the driving but not in the big cities - would miss it I think - but yes it is coming.

Uber tested their driverless cars on the streets of San Francisco.I was told the cars were not completely driverless, there was someone in the driver seat, but just not driving. The city told them
to get the cars off the streets. I guess the city wasnt ready for driverless cars
