Intenet trolling the new anatomy
There has been a spat of interned trolling lately.Fake news is only one aspect of it.Trolls are no longer found under bridges. They've moved, their new home is the internet!
Yesterday I posted about flight vs flight responses. The fight response takes varied forms some of which we are familiar with! Unfortunately the genie gets out of the box with internet trolling.
You never know when you're going to find this new monster!. But rest unassured it knows where you are. It has watched your online posts and habits and can spring at you any moment
Traditionally sensational copy that causes a stir sells. The internet opens up new on line avenues of victimization
One of the main effects besides fake news is the recent spat of "sop opera" effect romantic "confessions"and '"tell all's". These outbound all rational belief! Now no one can find truth with a magnifying glass. The internet has caught up with true confessions!

It is my hope that this will bring sanity and decency to a news reporting system badly in need of it!

According to a study for Personality and Individual Differences from some years ago, it showed that trolls are basically narcissists, psychopaths and sadists. Worse they are often active for malicious intend, stealing, argumentation and direct posting of controversial statements and twisted stories.
The laws have changed as well, in most countries in the world it is seen as a crime, in Europe some countries have a special law landing trolls up to 2 years in prison plus a hefty fine up to 75.000$, in the USA trolling can cost one dearly and in Canada prison time of up to 10 years and a hefty fine on top of it. It is not just the standard trolling that gets punished, often political and business harming motivated active trolls are seen as a pest to society.
Over the years the amount of trolls invading the internet are on the rise. Since the arise of social platforms, forums and other places where conversation takes place like in comments or active chatting and messaging (Twitter), trolls love these places, companies hire people to find trolls and take measurements to defuse and remove them from their platforms.
Perhaps a new niche? Troll Pest Detective?
I'm sorry for what you have experienced Stefan. A lot of people get the business here especially ambassadors. BUT if you check my position this morning I don't have to worry about that.
