The quest to reach audiences through video displays is catching fire and will not soon abate. the world of stills and selfies is dying as evidenced by the dying world of Snap Chat
Instagram is a grassroots spin off of Facebook Video advertorials and tend to demand higher fees than other types of internet display ads. For now Instagram is mostly in the Wow stage but Instagram chief Kevin Systrom predicts that will change as it's commercial utility is picked up.
Video advertorials typically command a higher fee than other types of online display ads. According to Research firm eMarketer, $18 billion will be expended on video ads in 2018. This is a 22% increase over 2017.
Instagram plans to get a deeper cut of that action. What Facebook has found is that pre-roll ads don’t work all that well for short videos because people just scroll on and don’t bother watching them. Post roll ads dont work as people scroll away
Shorter videos don’t have any space for a mid-roll ad. The solution is a longer video to display a video ad inventory.
You Tube currently leads with the young adult crowd (18-24) desired by marketers in the US. These viewers are not randomly scrolling through You Tube. Facebook lags well behind.
Importantly, those viewers are not just idly scrolling through YouTube, but staying there for long periods of time - engaging in many advertisements as they go. Facebook has a great chance to catch up through Instagram.
The young audience is using it several times day and night and are leaving You Tube in the dust. Instagram may be further behind, but its audience is still growing quickly. It's big draw is mobile adaptation Mobile devices are carried by this demographic like iron to a magnet.
As we consider our future businesses never forget to keep this new young mobile crowd in mind A great way to reach for success!

Thanks Mike. I haven't added Instagram, yet. I need to look into that this next week.
All the best,
Wendi
Good information, Mike! I just discovered IGTV and put the App on my iPhone.
Now I have to learn how to use it and parlay it's attributes toward my WA campaigns.
Thanks for sharing Mike -- I can relate to the young people stayin on YouTube, as that's all my grandson does when hes riding in my car with me :-).
It's a new world -- either jump on the train or get left behind :-).
Thanks, Mike. Yet again another valuable post. \
Believe me, I am learning for the first time that Instagram is attached to FB! That is the value of WA. We learn something new everyday by this engagement.
Awesomeness!
Mojalefa.
You are spot on, Mike! Instagram is IT right now, it is the booming social media platform to jump on. Better get on this train before it leaves you behind.
