This one requires one click of magnification for your enjoyment. For those who read my post yesterday on coffee I hope it was enjoyable. Now it's time to move to the stronger stuff. I don't drink at all. Many here indulge in wine, however.

Besides coffee and tea, wine is the second or third most casual drink of many. Upscale bookstores use a vintage imbibing option.

My knowledge is supplied primarily by stories in books and other media. The persona given James bond is that of a wine connoisseur. In one production (From Russia with Love) the antagonist mentions red wine with fish which gives him away.

Red -The thinking is the more robust (color intensity from pale and the greater alcoholic level), the more a wine should be used with tough to digest muscle meats such as steaks, chops and roasts. The flavor compensates for the toughness of the chew.

Rose~ matches up with pink or paler colors and corresponding alcoholic level. It goes best with intermediate muscle meat such as pork or lamb and in some cases raw vegetables Such vegetables as celery and carrot sticks go well with cocktail ensembles that are a fit for the Rose~ variety.

At the lightest end of the scale are the white wines. These are used with finer cuisine such as fish and vegetarian as well as pasta dishes. They complement appetizers and cuisine of the appetizer nature. They are flavorful yet light to help with minimal digestion.

Sparkling wines give an effervescent lift to a savoring. The lift here is the enjoyable part much like carbonated sodas such as ginger ale. Champagne is a sparkling wine. But the classification hangs on sourcing from its growing region in France.

Wine like pure grape juice, especially the red variety, is reputed to have health benefits. Some advertisements come close to pickling the heart in a good wine for health.

I have many friends in WA who extol the virtues of a good glass. Wines go beyond the imaginary for many of us here and make a difference to our inspiration and creativity!

Good afternoon Mike,

Rose gives me a headache.
I love cold, dry white wine.
My big love is Tinto. A round red wine, reserva or better still gran reserva. For everyday, there are very nice, and normal ones, for less than Euros 3,-

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Much wine in southern Spain taetske

Great post-Mike!
I love wine and so your post about it!

Have a good Day

Thanks Mike, I'll tell my doctor I've been throughly educated by brother Mike on which wine meets my palette the best, lol! Great post.😁
Peace💗

Sometimes wine stirs my migraine, lol.

Sometimes I like a glass of red wine or a Moscato.

Did you read about those Ruby Roman grapes that sold for $11,000 in Japan?

When close to or in Niagara Falls, visit Niagara-On-The-Lake Canadian border side. Learn all about wines. Tastings and Tours.
Great food paired with the wines. World class destination plus one of the wonder's of the world.

Good evening once again my friend, I love a good red wine with my meals, lunch or dinner that is. I love a red wine with my dinners of course, a dry white wine is nice when you're hanging out around the river front or Oceanfront with someone special. Enjoyed your blog my friend.

This all fits well!!

Yes indeed my friend.

Never developed a taste for the stuff myself. I always considered wine the beverage of choice when you wanted to screw up the flavor of a good tasting piece of cheese. lol

Having said that, I really don't care for anything with the taste of alcohol. That seemed to go away in my 20's. My beverage of choice is water. I know, it's boring but I likes it. I likes it a lot!

On the upside, a night on the town costs me a whole lot less than for most! ;-)

For me a nice fruity red.

Derek

*** my choice is a very dry white bubblie-e! -- in a chilled flute crystal ... goes well with pizza! ... soo-o how do u like that?! ... lol ... chuckles & giggles! ...

tee-hee-he-tee! ... enjoy it all! ...cheerio ... 🥂🍾🎈⭐️🎵

White wine would pair well with you Keisha!

.... or for during the summer chillin' with friends -- a dry chardonnay would be ok, too OR a white wine spritzer is ok too! ...so many choices in this world and it's all good! ... glad you blogged on this topic today .... cheerio ... :)
