It's amazing the things we find on our table during the thanksgiving and holiday seasons. Just in the appetizer department alone we find things that have been globally sourced and processed,
A favorite of mine is smoked salmon. I acquired the taste when I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. That is where I learned the process of pairing with bagels and cream cheese.
I caught some wild in the Rogue River in Sothern Oregon and there is no taste comparable that I've encountered anywhere. The healthy oils and Omega 3 nutrients are unbeatable.
For Thanksgiving his appetizer hit is one of the best found in Costco and high end stores. ...Foppen Smoked Norwegian salmon slices!.
This salmon is
- native to the North Atlantic
- farmed in Norwegian fjord waters
- distributed by Foppen Eel and Salmon in the Netherlands
- produced in Greece
- Shipped into the United states by way of Baltimore or the New York/Pennsauken area
A classic case of global collaboration in providing a healthy supplement to the table!
I am not promoting this product just highlighting it as a use case.

It must have been a blast fishing Rogue River in Sothern Oregon .I have always had a big dream of fishing salmon.
Salmon River in Oswego New York is the only place I have been for huge salmon.
