Some hardware application charts claim there are a million colors. Actually there are infinite shades. Like there are infinite points in a line; there are infinite grades of pixels.
I love colors and to match them to personalities is a wondrous thing. Warm colors are attributed to open outgoing personalities. Cooler ones are matched to more reserved thoughtful demeanor!
Colors grade up and down the scale and are measured in angstroms.They represent different frequencies of light in hues. Below violet (ultra violet) to above red infra redatures like certain dogs are reputed, through studies, to be able to see in greens and yellows. We can see in orange, red and purple.
Certain birds are said to be able to "see" colors beyond our visible spectrum I've imagined sometimes what it would be like to mix "unknown shade" with orange for instance.
Colors have their contrasting opposite frequencies. The main polarities are
- black (absence of color)/white (all colors)
- green/red
- blue/orange
- yellow/purple
If you stare at any contrast for a minute or so and look away you will see the colors reversed. We have this amazing ability to preserve our sense of color vision.

I have seen I believe Loes post something about colors awhile back.
I am more a ginger and bright blue, but my. I just haven't changed it on my logo and heading, because Google suspends me every time I try to change my logo on Google.
