Photography and imaging is a special form of "writing" The images we make are no less poignant than the written word.

No enterprise passes for a good writing effort as much as photography Drawing ad sketching have made great strides to this end, the mechanical process of using a camera to create images has been ground breaking!

Everything is a subject for the camera and everyone can be a photographer. Iconic moments are captured through the ages. The dust lady of, 911. Kent State. The Vietnamese napalm victim and numerous other instances

Photography has become a medium for fine art, properly applied Inventors in Paris first created images. This lead to artist Louis Daguerre improving the photographic process using an efficient copper coated plate called the Daguerrotype

By the beginning of the twentieth century hand held film came into style. This was soon followed by photosensitive paper, flexible roll film and quicker exposure times. Some milestones: are as follows

  • 1861-1865. The intensity of the American Civil War became a subject captured on camera for the United States to witness!
  • 1914 Leica introduces the 35 mm camera.
  • 1920's German magazines print photos alongside text
  • 1936 American Life magazine introduces the mainstream concept of photojournalism capturing contemporary news.
  • 1947 Polaroid introduced the Land camera making good imagery even more convenient.
  • 1975 Digital cameras get started
  • 2000 Sim cards developed for mobile phones

The miracle of photographic imaging is a great milestone and a blessing to us all!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

And makes it memorable

All the photochopping
Unnatural and fake
