artful presentation
It's important to make a meaningful presentation when introducing a new topic or aspect of your business. You have to be many things, a media specialist, a psychologist. You must be expert at putting auditory and written content over to an audience. Such an approach is very efficacious in a sales letter. This is also significant for a public speaker, a novelist or simply anyone who wants to spin a good yarn.
I will cover these valid concerns in the order presented.
- make a clear main point. If part of the story, this begins with a good headline. Research your audience and tailor to their interests. Never let anyone or anything change or fog the purpose of your meaning.
- shake up the expectation set. Many audiences are jaded. Give them something you're sure they've never seen before. This might require inserting novel facts into the tale.
- Offer proof and credibility. If you've ever been to a book fair, You have probably seen a good portion of the time invested in a book signing exercise. Well presented manuscripts are usually compiled into a first edition of a good book and signatures asked for by authors that are already famous in attendance. It doesn't hurt if some are sold in the pile as well.
- Use everyday celebrities and household terms in pitching your spoken or written message. You're reaching out to your best friend, your customer.
- Get rid of cliches and fuzziness. Strive for clarity. Use analogies and other parts of speech to drive a point home. Avoid cliches like the plague.
- Search for and focus on the emotions of your audience. Everyone has them. Do your research well ahead of the presentation. Ensure you know the "hot keys". Everybody has them. Find them and play them well to fit perfectly with your listener.
- Time and time again a good story reaches an audience well. It ranks up there as one of the highest lead types. If you can imbue that story with elements of challenge and curiosity, you are on the way to being successful.
To sum up, every time we post here in Wealthy Affiliate we go through some version of the highlighted principles. Use them as you go forth!

Mike, I always look forward to reading your posts and this one did not disappoint. I am onboard with everything you wrote, but I confess I am still wondering what "everyday celebrities" are. Are we talking TV pitch spokepersons like "Flo" the insurance lady?. I'm not complaining mind you, I think I could work with that character.
Thanks!
Jay
