Despite the hype involved in mentioning investment opportunities , there's more than a grain of truth in the broadcasting of related information!
Five tech companies have been identified as central to the Internet of Things (IOT) revolution. There are opportunities to make virtually every appliance in our lives act smart.
Five basic core tech related companies are dubbed to be at the center of this revolution! As they come out into the market and are identified they are worth hitching your investment wagon to and considering for monetization.
- A Massachusetts based company launching new robotics initiatives, This will introduce collaborative robots (Cobots). these will work alongside and interface with human workers. Expected to expound in value by 2020.
- A software company that's leading innovation for driverless cars. This one is expected to grow ten times in the next 6 years. It will supply camera technology to Tesla, Honda Ford, BMW and others.
- A manufacturing company using Artificial Intelligence to drastically change the assembly and manufacture mix. With more AI profits should be off the wall.
- A Big Data company. This is the mainspring behind the Internet of Things. This data also makes use of Artificial Intelligence to construct complex algorithms. These can transform terabytes of information into useful form.
- Finally a company that can store that data in repositories called "farms" They have 125 farms globally and rent server space to companies like Google, Facebook and Yahoo

I've read about 3-D data storage where all the books in the Library of Congress would fit on one disk. But its a "WORM" storage, (Write Once, Read Many). Good for Archival purposes. But for business purposes which are anything but static, the data farms are here to stay.

Wow! A.I. in the workplace... after 32 of the past 42 years of my working life in manufacturing, I guess I feel like one of Henry Ford's employees would feel seeing one of today's assembly lines. It doesn't quite compute. I understand it, I just can't imagine the interaction of it.
