So Far, So Good!
I love what I have learned here so far. True, some of it falls into the category of common sense, but other information has been new so that's awesome!
Now the tough part - choosing my niche. Anyone who has known me for more than a hot minute knows that working with young people in the world of theater - especially musicals - is HUGE for me. From January to December of 2017 I will have played in the pit for a collegiate production, directed/choreographed an award-winning high school production, directed a play at the local community theater as well as directing a production including kids in the cast for the holidays. And I start again in January with the college show and the high school show. That seems like an "obvious" option to me.
But i'm also passionate about the performing arts as it connects to my faith, specifically my own singing/songwriting and the use of theatrical productions in church.
Decisions are hard!

As a fellow musician, I feel that you should also pursue that which you are passionate about: Theater! You could create a blog around the history and the present state of that genre. I can't wait to see it. Let's go!!
That should be a fantastic niche for you , since you have in depth understanding of it, and loads of experience. You should go with it, and move forward and aim to complete the course as soon as possible.

I was a theatre major at Univ of South FL (Tampa), and my husband graduated from AMDA in NYC, so your background is near and dear to our hearts! Yes, go for this as a niche, because the world needs more of the arts to help bring us to our highest potential. I think it is a fantastic choice and offers a LOT of potential for expansion in the coming days. And WA will help you to funnel the skills you now have into a positive marketing platform.
