Core “Business Start Up” Training

WA Affiliate Program

Hi Guys,

I am pumping out the content quite well, I have a lot to talk about in my chosen niche.

What I am struggling with is how to operate word press and the bus

There is a load of help in the community. Get clear on what you need help with. Make a list of your questions and ask for real-time answers.

You Check the "Help" button located at the top of your WA home page. The last button as you look across from left to right. Click "Help". You can go to Site Support for technical support for your website.

You can contact Kyle, Carson, or Bonzo124 for coaching. Also, there are helpers listed there.

Check out the WA community with specific questions.

Hope this helps.

Can you give an idea of what you are struggling with.
Because there are a lot of Youtube videos on WordPress.

Here's one

That's half the problem, I don't really know what i am struggling with exactly. I want someone to tell me what could be better. I am trying to find answers myself but it's taking up to much of my time trying to find the right answer. And when I do, I am not 100% confident I am interpreting it correctly. I feel like I just need to sit down with someone and go over everything to make sure on the right path

You are probably like a lot of us. We learn by experience.
If you ask for some feedback on your site you will get a good idea of where your site stands.

Truthfully if you are doing the training and applying it to the best of your ability, that is a great start. Learn to trust yourself!

Here's a SEO checklist you can use before publishing each post.

One way you could find the help you need is to itemize what it is you need help with. I know how overwhelming it can be, and having a mentor is so beneficial, no matter where you are with experience. Everyone has something to offer.

Every week, Jay (magistudios) provides excellent live training that covers from starting your website, finding a niche, email marketing and basic maintenance.

Plus, you can ask questions by clicking the help icon, and select 'Ask a Question'. You will find great answers that will help you.

Thank you. After researching affiliate coaches, That is the guy I was going to sign up to his affiliate coaching program but I thought it would be better to go through someone from WA.

Now that I know he is from WA I will go with him. Thank you for your advise. I like the idea that once a month he goes through your site and tells you what can be better.
I need that second opinion on everything atm because I'm not confident enough on my own just yet.

Thats great! I had not checked out his coaching orogram...I will now!

Rudy

I am stuck at Word Press too and I think I deleted my SEO address in my plugins...HELP

Here's a Youtube tutoiial on Wordpress for beginners
Here's one
http://www.youtube (dot) com/watch?v=kYY88h5J86A

I learned a ton by watching Jay in his live classes. He has live expert classes available for Premium weekly, but even better he has a MASSIVE catalog of classes you can watch on just about every subject you can ask for. Go to the classes search and type in magistudios along with whatever aspect you're looking for help with.

With his classes you're basically watching over the shoulder as he goes step by step through the process. But this is true with the core training lessons as well. Take you're time with them and watch the videos thoroughly. Pause and replay in areas where you need a second view.

Thanks Eric, I see what you are saying, most of it has been pretty easy to understand. I have next to no experience with computers so there's a few issues that aren't hitting home. I just want to save my self some time and pay the money to get direct answers for my problems.

I posted an article at 5am this morning on FB and recieved no hits. I then posted the same article at mid day and it got lots of traffic. It makes sense to post at certian time

Thanks Abie I'll check it out

Thank you

That's a really helpful data

Most welcome!

Hey Abie,

Because I'm in Australia and my audience is a mix of everywhere should I base those times off US time or my time?

If you have Google Analytics installed you'd know where your visitors are coming from mostly and then you can make adjustments and decisions this way.

Sweet I didn't think to do it that way. That's gives me a better idea when to post. Thanks again

Most welcome!

Hi guys,

I have accedently created an ad for my website as a local store at my home address. I did this in the process of setting something up and Im not sure how to dele

You need to go in the text interface of your post and delete it.

Hi Abie

Where would I find the text interface?

You can click the three dots to a block and choose the edit as html option from the drop down menu.

Once done, click the three dots again to edit visually.

That's the link they shared with you
https://support.google.com/business/answer/4669092

Let me know how you get on.

From what I can gather I can't actually delete it, only mark it as permanently closed. So I did that, hopefully it wont show up anymore.

Thanks for helping me out.

So how did it get there in the firs place, was a short code, a plugin?

You can right click inspect in a browser and see the code there, to try locate.

However if that did solve it, it may be okay. Appreciate your comment.

I cant remember exactly but when when I first started I was having trouble connecting to google ad sense. Or maybe setting up google search console. I remember at the time thinking this doesn't feel right. and tried to bail out but it created it anyway.

Someone called my number through the ad lol. I got a bit of a shock

It looks like Google placed your business on the map because you provided a physical address.

I have no experience with this, but the following link looks like it may help.
support.google (dot) com/business/answer/4669092?hl=en

Thank you

thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I think it worked :)

Where would i find the control panel login for my hosting? I have someone helping build my new theme and they're asking to install some plugins into the directory structure and

If they need to access the directory structure, then they would either need to use FTP or install some type of File Directory plugin.

I agree it’s kind of weird that they can’t install their plugin from the admin area.

Thank you

I would find out what your "helper" is really doing because at some point if you decide to do it yourself or hire someone else how will they maintain it. Make sure they are not creating something that will be extremely difficult to maintain.

For Woredpress access is gained through the "wordpress backoffice" and or using FTP.

Thank you

You are very welcome.

you don't get a cpanel on this hosting - it is managed hosting...
if you are using a domain you do get ftp access - but it is the older ftp not sftp...
or you can upload the plugins from inside your site...i am suprised your designer needs to upload them...
or you can have your designer pass them onto support to add them to your site...

Thank you that makes sense now

You don't need Cpanel access to install plugins. You can install plugins right inside your dashboard. I have been making money using WA hosting for years but never used Cpanel.
Also, I don't recommend hiring someone to build your theme. You just have to install a popular theme like GeneratePress. Make sure not to complicate things as it will delay your money-making process.

Ok thanks Jeff

Wealthy Affiliate is your webhost and they don't provide cPanel access. Plugin installation doesn't require cPanel access but if they require something specific they will need to contact Site Support.

Thanks Phil

Is it ok to have the same people comment on different post? Not every post, but 2 related and linked posts?

Absolutely!

Yes, most definitely.

Yes, of course.

Thanks Phil

Definitely.

Thanks Alex

They can.

However you'd want the comments related to the topic and niche, you can also moderate and edit prior approval, you'd find comments tab in your WordPress sites back office.
