How to choose a niche?
A lot of new members have difficulty on choosing a niche. I will try my best to give you a few methods that you can use.
1) When you have too many ideas and interest:
What you can do is, first get a few pieces of paper and write down each niche as the title. Then after that, you write down what you talk about on each one. For example, if your niche is model car, then you can put down a list like this:
- how to make model car
- where to buy them
- different types of model car
Spend as much time as you need and list out all you can think of. Then you will probably find that some have more content ideas than others. It is best to go for one you have more content to post. Before you settle on the idea. There are 2 more things that you need to know. Is there anyone searching for this sort of things? (Do a keyword research to find out.) Are there any affiliate products available?
2) When you have no ideas of what to do or what niche should you choose.
- you can promote WA or
- you can visit my website: I have a page called "11 Effective Blogs" , it might give you some ideas of what you can do.
3) Like in the lessons, Kyle has said that a niche could also be "something that you like to learn". So you can develop your website while you are learning it. I think it will be fun. One of my website was build like this.
4) Yesterday, I saw a post that one of the WA posted. He said that your niche should be what your passion is. I want to make a comment on it.
- what he said was correct, but make sure you find out like I said - "Is there anyone searching for this sort of things?" And, also "Are there any affiliate products available?"
If your aim is to make money. It is no good if nobody else is interested in it and also you cannot make money with it.
When you have settle on your niche, you have to find out if your niche is too broad, you can read my other post: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/misterwailor/blog/is-my-niche-too-broad
I wish you all the best in your endeavour.

Once again thank you for your helpful advice. My site is leaning more to spiritual/philosophical, no sure if/when it will make any money but thats not the main issue.(except to at least cover costs) I may put it out for 'peer review' today as i got a 'writers block" re: how to continue. (maybe you and others can help)
Well this is very helpful MisterWailor. Finding, picking and refining niches has always been quite a hurdle for me when trying to actually plan a website. And I'm struggling with it still (telling myself I'll come up with something once I know what I'm gonna sell). Thank you for your excellent advice.
