The above screenshot is a security strength meter of my website robertvallair.org. It has a strong 195 score .... which means my site is pretty secure.
The plugin that I used is WP security. This plugin helps you activate over 10 features are crucial to the security of your site.
The most critical areas of security that you should be concern with are:

File Permission
One of the security features that I like the most is the “Brute Force Prevention” Login Page. Your wordpress Back Office login page is usually set with your url name/admin - which can easily be hacked into by a clever hacker.
However with this feature you can rename your back office login page with its on unique URL slug that you choose.
The WP Security plugin will definitely give your site an increase security and keep your site safe from hackers.

I trust what WA does
I do too. But it never hurts to have too much security. Also, I have sites that I want more control of and they are not hosted at WA.
