I Think They've Got It All Wrong
The parcel I was waiting for finally arrived, it was a lot bigger than I imagined, I was downstairs in the living room looking for somewhere to hide this extra large box, when I heard the distinctive pinging of my mobile phone.
I dropped the box on the sofa and darted up three flights of stairs to the office trying to catch it before it kicked into voicemail.
Within seconds I wish I hadn't bothered.
A voice on the end of the phone informed me that they had a tool that could tell me the names and addresses and e-mails of everyone who visited my website.
What uses that to me - I don't do cold calling!
See... I think they had it all wrong
As a web marketer my job isn't to track down who visits my website and hound them to business.
My job is to connect with them as they reach my websites and turn them into fans on that post or page.
The issue isn't a matter of Cold calling my sights visitors, it's a matter of converting them to raving fans when they visit my website.
It’s all about conversions.

This is a great post! It is nice hearing from you! Have looked for you a couple times in chat, but alas I saw no sign of you! I am still grateful to you for being the hand of help that you were to me that night! I certainly ended up learning a lot in that journey though I still feel bad that you were subjected to all my questions and lack of knowledge. Thank you again for your patience as you helped me sort through it all. I really like your point you make with this post and on the heals of some of the things I have read recently I think it is quite timely. Blessings, Christa :)
Cheers Christa...

Nice and insightful post Tony!
Cold calls are exactly that - cold and soulless.
Your vantage point is great!
