How and When Do You Get Paid as an Affiliate Marketer?

Affiliate marketers work hard to make a commission and of course, they want payments as soon as humanly possible. But not all networks or product owners pay out at the same rate.

Third party sites like HubPages pay out two months after the commissions are earned. They’re similar to how Amazon pays their affiliates. So for instance, if you have a really good month in December for Christmas sales, you won’t see those funds until February.

This is to protect the company from refunds that may occur during that 60-day timespan when most returns are processed. This will really matter more to you when you’re just getting started and perhaps more desperate for money. But over time, you’ll get used to it being on a set schedule.

JVZoo is primarily used for promoting digital info products about Internet marketing. But not all of them are in this niche. The best thing about these sites is that affiliates are paid instantly.

If it’s a 50% payout, then the product owner gets paid for one sale, and you get paid for the next. Or, you might each get half of the payment for each sale. These types of sites have varying payment details, so you need to check to make sure you know the process.

One thing about being an affiliate on these sites is that you may have to get whitelisted in order to promote as an affiliate for a product seller. Getting whitelisted means the product owner has to manually approve you to promote his products.

They do this to prevent fraud. The best way to get whitelisted is to introduce yourself to the product owner and show them your site and explain how you plan to promote their product.

ClickBank affiliates who promote products on that system get paid every two weeks like clockwork. They can send a check or do a direct deposit into your bank. If you’ve had refunds, then they can withhold some funds for the next paycheck.

Individual product sellers who are not on ClickBank or JVZoo can also buy software that allows them to run their own affiliate program. You have to use extreme caution here.

Some of the marketers are completely above the board and have a firm schedule for payments. Others have ruined their reputation by taking all of the money and then not paying their affiliates – coming up with excuses instead.

So my question is.... Do you sign up here on WA and in order to get paid you sign up on other sites and companies?

You'll get pais d if peeps sign up with your WA link found here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share - and to get paid on affiliate programs such as Amazon you sign up with them

how do I get paid on WA affiliate program apart from PayPal,can I gepaid via wire transfer or payoneer mastercard?

This article doesnt mention the form of payment such as money order or check. Is it direct deposit? And how do i keep track of the monies earned?

It just depends on the company you sign up with. Some will use paypal, others use other payment gateways.

Thanks Larry freedomforus

Great Info. Thanks for the post.

Ta - again

"Individual product sellers who are not on ClickBank, JVZoo or WarriorPlus can also buy software that allows them to run their own affiliate program. You have to use extreme caution here."

Took me three years, numerous unanswered emails and some anger to get paid from ViaTalk. At the time they ran an affiliate program through their own site as well as through CJ.com. I chose to promote through their in-house program because I didn't know about the CJ program.

Same thing happened with the Weebly affiliate program before they went to Shareasale. They paid me some commissions after I emailed them a bunch of times but never accounted for the payment. So when it came time for the balance of my payment, they never paid me until they had a new affiliate manager who ended up paying me the balance plus commissions I had already gotten. I didn't make them wise to their mistake - one frustrated affiliate marketers revenge.

I just mainly stick to the big networks when working with affiliate programs or do minimal promotion until I get paid by them before ramping up promotions.

Nice share Jay - Even at sharesale you have to keep an eye out for budget levels... Amazon... That's why we love you.

Thanks for the info!

Good info. I'm just getting started, but of course would like to know this info now, rather than worry about it later. Thanks.
