I have 2 websites with similar niches. One is a work from home website and the other is about network marketing. Is it possible to have the same post on both websites or do I need

No you cannot ... google will pennalize you for it

No. Duplicate content is a no-no. Your website could be penalized for duplicate content. If your two niches are similar, why don't you just have one website, and have "network marketing" as a page, of sub category?

I don't want to combine because while they are similar they are not the same. One is geared for all home businesses and the other is specifically for network marketing.

I don't think Google like duplicated text at all. I would rewrite it for the second.

I just wasnt sure since it isnt really plagiarism since they are my own articles. Thank you guys for all the advice

Doesn't that effect goggle ranking doing that, I was told to rewrite Google alerts rather than repost them is better, isn't this a similar thing?

Dont duplikate

You've been given a good advice below. You don't want to post the same article, verbatim, on multiple websites.

Hello, i think it can be duplicate content but i'm not sure. If i would be you i wouldn't take the risk and write 2 unique articles and link them to each other so you keep the reader on your sites^^

I do not have a static home page. It shows the most recent posts. How do I get the option for "read more" instead of showing the entire post?

You can try going to settings, then select summary and see if that works. If summary is already selected it could be your theme.

If that is hard to understand follow the link.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jaweda2k/blog/using-the-more-button-to-add-a-read-more

That worked perfectly. Thank you so much.

Make sure you have the total tool bar showing. It will be the icon to the right of the subtract link on the top. Have your curser where you want the page break to be.

Let me know when you find out. lol John

Maybe I am doing something wrong. I use Jaaxy and I use a lot of keywords that it says are good. Now here is the kicker. I still don't get ranked in google at all. What am I doing

Hi Rob,
You can search on site:your url to see if it is indexed by Google. For example, in the search box on your browser type in site:yourdomain.com (no http:// or www).
If your site is indexed you will get a list of results for the pages Google has indexed from your site.

I'm not following you. What do you mean to search on site?

You google "site:your url", then you can see it is indexed :)

yes if I search for the website url itself then I see it in google, but I know what I'm looking for lol nothing comes up with the keywords I use

Rob, how is your analytic, get lot of people visit your website, you can tell from it or may be put to many keywords on the content, accord to Kyle, just put enough don't over stuff it. May be I am wrong.

My content is has keywords all over. I don't get many visitors because you don't see my page in google at all. I have put action on everything I have learned so far. I am only on course 3 lesson 9. I even put infolinks on my page. Although I don't think I like it very much and may take it off. I think it takes away from MY links that I have.

I tried that with my 2 months' old website to no avail and now I'm getting more focus to spend more time blogging, adding more content than checking the ranking. Be patient making friend with Google, he has the reputation of playing hard to get.

I spend a lot of time adding content and blogging. Most of my time in fact. I just take a few minutes here and there to check and see if any of my blogs or content come up. The only way I can get anything to come up on google at all is to search for my URL. I get nothing from keywords.

Hi Rob! Looks like you got a lot of help already! Have a great day my friend and yes, please be patient! It's the one thing that is so hard to do sometimes! :-)

Thanks Sharon. You have a great day as well. :)

Just like these good folks have already said, it takes time to see desired results. So, like many of us are doing, I'd say hang in there. Success is coming, and you would begin to see the fruits of your labor.

Ade

I will hang in there. I'm too stubborn not to. I was just beginning to get a little frustrated because I wasn't seeing anything at all. lol

You can go into Google Webmaster and in the crawl tab, choose "fetch as Google" and submit your site there. You can also submit your sitemap in this same crawl area...choose "sitemap" for this.

Thank you, I will try this.

It does take Google time even doing this method.

Patience, just keep adding good content, it takes time.

I am still working on my patience. I was just hoping to see some kind of result. Any kind of result really. Even if it is clear in the back. As I said, I am new to all of this and I didn't know what sort of time frame was involved with seeing any kind of result.

I am getting some good feed back G+ and facebook.

The only people I have on G+ currently is WA'ers lol I might need to look into promoting more on there

Yeah, they make good friends, however look at joining communities that are in your niche or have common interests. I'm still trying to get a handle on it myself, good luck.

I see that you joined WA Feb 17. If your site is as new as your membership it is way too soon to see any ranking. Give it some time. Have you done any social media yet. Social media helps a lot. I don't see your website listed on your profile. What is it ?

I know I am still relatively new to WA. I didn't know how long it takes to get any sort of rank in google. Yes, I am currently using Pintrest, Facebook, and Tumblr to promote my blogs. I don't list my website on my url because someone brought to my attention that there is a bit of plagiarism going on in WA lately. I don't mind people using my content as inspiration, but directly copying is not cool lol I will PM you my URL

How long has your site been up and running? It takes time to build up your "authority" with the search engines and get ranked. It is a lot like building a big snowball in that you just need to keep working it, but the more you do the bigger it gets.

It has been live for about 2 weeks now. I don't expect to be anywhere near the top, but it would be good to see it at least somewhere in google to start with even if it is 20 pages or more back. lol I am adding more and more content everyday. I'm not giving up, I'm just confused. I'm not entirely sure Jaaxy is that accurate. if you search the keyword that says only has 4 QSR, google has 3,170,000 results. Maybe I am just not understanding QSR

That is natural. The competing pages is what the 4 is, the millions or results is the fall back to any page containing just those words. Just keep working it as it will take several more weeks until you start to climb the ranking ladder. Take a look back through my blogs here at WA and see how my game site has grown in 5 months. Took quite a while to get the ball rolling, but once it did - IT DID.

Hey :)
try send your site to pingomatic.com it help to get indexed faster i always do this :)
Goodluck

Thank you. I will try that out.

When using Jaaxy I find that there are a lot of key words that are missing a word. Just one example of the many I found is, if you search "work at home jobs" one of the results I g

I would also agree to use proper phrases. If you search them in Jaaxy you still might find that they too have good numbers. I was in a similar situation with my first blog. The words with high numbers were "tattoos history", not tattoo history which makes more sense. So I incorporated it into the title like this; "Tattoos, History and Statistics". I checked with Jaaxy and the comma , doesn't change the numbers. Hope that was helpful!
Always smiling, Litsa

I like that! It is a grand idea.

Rob made an excellent point. I wouldn't settle for less either, because "quality content" means everything about your website in all it's entirety.
Ade

Jay has always said in his wabinars that the keyword must make sense, so if - 'how to make money online' is what you're looking for, don't settle for 'how make money online' just because it may have better stats.

User experience and content quality are more important, as the search engines will find keywords to rank within the article.

Hi Mindflare - you may not have seen this post. So here is a link you may find useful: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/uncover-3-niches-in-a-matter-of-minutes-using-jaaxy-enterprise/a_aid/163dec5e

I try and incorporate them into the title or within my content but it has to flow and make sense, like the engine of a car we have to tune it and refine it to get it running smoothly

you can reference the correct search term and use the wonky one in "inverted commas"....you may have types "morgage" and you were looking for mortgage? Congratulations, you are the right place anyhows...for example...

I was under the impression that our keyword phrases needed to make sense. I've heard Kyle mention this a couple times. However, I do know people sometimes shorten their inquires when actually typing them in. Kamali and Wayne have good suggestions. I'd like to know if they work because I have been passing up lots of great keywords if it works!
-Joe

A good test would be to do a google search for those particular keywords and look at the top ten results. In some cases you will notice that they don't use the "jumbled" phrase but still rank

I think you are right Joe. When people search for something they will just use the important words and omit little ones.

Ultimate SEO was a plugin I used that would automatically remove words like the, a, to, etc from my URL address so I don't think it's bad to leave these out

That's trying to rank for the keyword and not focusing on your user/reader.

If you want to establish credibility and convince people to buy from you, you prob want to make your content readable. I fell for that too with my keyword research and even went as far as to buy a domain name.

You can let the URL of the post be that keyword but your title should be as appealing to the reader as possible. Just my opinion.

For example your URL address would be www.yoursite.com/howtomoneygamingonline

The title would be "how to make money by gaming online"

search engines will pick up on the URL and title, but readers will focus more on the title than the URL.

Just my .02

I think in a case like this you just add the words in the title and copy and keep the url with the exact keyword set and hope for the best.

Would any of you be interested in heading over to my page and giving me some constructive criticism? Any thoughts, ideas, or advice will all be welcome. The url is easilyworkingfro

I just like how you have set the whole thing up.Great job.

The site looks really nice. It's a good clean look, with fresh images and not overpowering with ads and extras.

All in all, you present very clearly what it takes to follow this dream, and what I would need to start a business. Your presentation of the offer itself is very good too.

I guess my main suggestion would be to mention the benefits earlier on. Give the reader an idea of what's coming, and why they should read the whole page as you're asking them to. Grab the reader's attention earlier about the benefit being offered that's going to help them achieve this dream (e.g. ease of set up, free of cost, community support and training, etc.)

Hope this helps

Inthink it looks good, nice.

HI midnflare327, nice looking, neat website. Very easy to navigate and read. My only tiny comment, the paragraphs are a bit too narrow, and three's an image right next to the paragraph. I'm not sure if it's your theme, or what. but I would try to widen the paragraphs a bit, to look like you're actually telling a story, not too restricting as it looks. Or maybe it's just the image that you can adjust? Otherwise, well done.

Nice, clear and readable. I think 3 pictures in your first text is a little overloaded and gets the attention away from the content... my opinion.

I have left a comment for you Mike, good luck its going well , I don't have any constructive criticism at this time.

Hi Rob,
I checked out your site and left a comment as well. Good move going with the twenty fourteen theme, it looks neat and tidy that way.Just don't forget to add some links on a widget on the right side to fill up a little more of your page.Keep up the good work.
On another note, I had just finished a post as well and if I could ask for some honest feedback as well that would be appreciated.

Hey Mike I checked out your site and think it looks great. The only thing I seen wrong was your infolinks, to many of them linked to the same places. example: your gamess link was an insurance place. didn't match. Great work though getting your site up and running.

I think you're doing great! It looks good so far. I see you still have a couple of pages you need to work on. The other pages, I certainly can tell you put a lot of work into them. Love the about page! I'm not as far as you yet with my site, but It's a work in progress.
To your future!

Yes I just barely created the pages that are blank and I haven't begun working on the content quite yet. Those will be getting worked on in the coming days. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at it. I appreciate it very much.
