Keep Going

Until today, it is about 3 weeks since I joined WA and created my own website. There are so many emotions that I've encountered throughout this journey such as excited or sad feelings. But, whenever I have those feelings, I've always reminded myself so that I will not end my journey and learning process before I reach my goals. So, in this post, I would like to share the hardships and grateful stories that I went through in these 3 weeks.

The Beginning...

I was introduced to WA by RoopeKiuttu from his Youtube Channel, and I started my Level 1 Online Entrepreneur Certification Training soon after joining in as a starter. It only took me about 5 days to finish the training because it just involved understanding the tools around WA website and setting up my own website.

So far so good as I was able to complete tasks in each lesson with fewer problems. Thanks to the community here who have helped me a lot when I asked about the solutions to my problem.

I was very excited when I finished Level 1 and wanted to proceed to Level 2 but I had to upgrade for Premium to continue in this training.

Next Step...

Before I upgrading to Premium, I set a short goal for myself as my own assurance to make sure I'll really be able to do this. I have a history of quitting the opportunities given to me because I didn't able to surpass the beginner obstacles, so I don't want the same thing to happen here.

My goal was to be able to finish 5 posts on my website before upgrading to Premium. My target duration was before the Premium promotion ending which was around 1 week after I signing up as the starter. I never did 5 posts in a week and I never did any writing except the reports that I needed to submit for my full-time job. But the reports didn't contain many wordings as they were more towards images and presentation elaborations. So, I don't have much experience in writing for a very long time. This goal is quite challenging for me but I had to do it. If I wasn't able to achieve this, it may be quite a risk for me to proceed as I'm afraid I will repeat the same mistake all over again.

Few days before the promotion ended, I was able to finish 5 posts not including the About Me post. I was shocked that I was able to finish them in a short time even though my posts still needed some corrections because I did without any guide. I just wrote them with my few experiences which I had learned from school on how to write articles and on how I would want to read a post. I knew there are many guides that I could find in WA and in other websites but I would slow down my process if I read those first before starting a post. So, I focused on writing first without thinking of other things. And my first goal was successfully completed within my timeline and I upgraded to Premium about 1 day before the promotion ended.

Bigger Step...

I started Level 2 Online Entrepreneur Certification Training soon after joining Premium. For most of the lessons, I was able to complete the tasks with just minor problems where I could solve them by searching topics from WA and the internet. This level was still good to me as most of them are for setting up my website, building traffic, and a few posts tasks that needed to be completed.

I was excited when I got the first feedback for my post from the SiteFeedback feature. The feedback contained praising and improving sentences which I really appreciated. Besides feeling happy that someone liked my post, I could improve my website from this feedback. This tool really helps a lot in building a good quality website. I'm also able to read other websites where I could give feedback from my perspective and at the same time learn things from those websites.

Next, when coming to Level 3 of the training, my progress started to slow down. Most of the tasks in each lesson required writing a post and publish it. This was my biggest fear of all tasks. It took me around one or two days to finish one post. At one time, I couldn't write for almost 5 days and I almost cried because of this. I had the ideas but I'm afraid to proceed.

Whenever I started researching for my content, I had these thoughts, "Is this content good enough? Is my opinion wrong? Can I write about this?" These thoughts kept coming every time I researched detailed information that I needed for my content. Those websites already had complete information on the topic, how can I write a post better than them? Or they had quite different opinions than mine, but their content was convincing. How can I write a different opinion but more convincing than them? There were lots of thinking on my mind that caused difficulty for me to go forwards.

During those 5 days of not posting, I read and watched many things to make me stay in this journey including blogs from members on WA about their own stories, inspiring stories, and just relax posts. When reading them, I felt less stress and slowly I gained the courage back. Until one point I read a quote that had pushed me forward which said something like this:

"Just do the way you can do, your success has been determined. Have faith in your success and just move towards it."

This quote is in my own wording because I don't remember where I read it. But it has given me some encouragements to keep me moving in this journey. Since the first time I wrote posts in my website, I developed love towards my writing and I have many ideas on how I wanted my website to be. So, the obstacles for this time, I had to ignore all of the questions and negative thoughts that came to my mind, and just written the posts however I wanted to. Sometimes my opinions could be wrong, but it's just another different opinions from one person that could be discussed and I could always correct it at other time.

Use SiteFeedback and SiteComment to get opinions from others, then we would know either our posts are good enough or not. So, I did this, and unexpectedly, I got positive feedbacks and comments through these tools. There were also members who share their stories related to the posts and I was so happy to read them. When there are improvement feedbacks, I could always go back to my posts and improve them based on the readers opinions and the suitability on my website.

Currently, I'm on 60% Level 4 of this training and my current target is to finish this whole training in 1 week starting today. My biggest fear is still about posting but at the same time I love writing. So, I hope I could keep moving forward however big the obstacles are. And I believe I could do this with the help of everyone here. Thank you so much to all WA members.
