Winning Cowgirl, Pep Talk for the week
Wake up in the mornin,
look in the mirror and say "I AM GONNA TO WIN TODAY" To be a winner you must behave like you've already won. Hold your head up high. Smile at people as you walk by. Act like you got some sence, even if you don't have the sence God gave a "Used Mule" act like you do Anyway. It's an Attitude. It's a Mindset. It's the way you treat people. It's the way you behave. Some might even call it a game, role playing, I don't care what you call it but be a Winner.
Everything starts with a dream, like layin under the shade tree, chewing on piece of hay, wishing you could become Ms. America, or picture yourself crossing that line at the Daytona 500 with the checkered flag. If you can visualize it, my daughter tells me "mama, you can do it".
My visual dream is running down the beach on my spotted saddle stud, about 2 years old, he is full of life, not a care in the world--but what I tell him to do. When I'm done riding, I wanna load him up in my customized 32 ft slanted, 4 horse, 10 foot slide out, goose neck, pearl white horse trailer Just so happens to be hooked up to my new pearl while, diesel 12.7 LT Cummins engine, an Allison, automatic, 4x4 transmission laid up in that baby. Both trimmed in black pin-stripes. Oh, btw, the horse is name Commodore II", and the truck is "Mam-ma's Monster", and cant forget my dog, a young rottwieler name "Lil John". How you like that visual? Pretty much a kool dream I'd say. So, It's my dream and I get to say it.
My point is dream big, write it down, make it work. We are here at WA to be better off that what we were before we started. I hope you have a dream to become wealthy, not just get by. Heck, I can work 50 hours a week at McDonalds and "get by" Get you an "DO IT" attitude. Work 50 hours for yourself and build and Empire. Make a plan. Those who don't plan: Plan to fail. Check yourself on schedule, like every 3-6 months. Ask yourself, what your doing..."Is it working"? If not, I may be blonde but I think I adjust the plan. Huh? If it's working, double up on your game. Because if this is a game; I want to WIN!
If I was racing Tony Stewart around the track. I'd holler at t him on the radio, "Hey Tony, I'm about to blow your panties off" (I am gonna pass him) this would make Tony mad cause everybody on radio would hear what I said, and I bet I wouldn't be able to pass Tony, cause he has mindset attitude. He came to win this race, hell I came to have good time. Why are you here at WA?

Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing a very positive post. I do believe in practicing positive affirmations, and I learned this from my niece. She is the most positive happy and respectful young girl I know.
I think she is about 7 years old, always has a smile on her face, and spreads positive energy where ever she goes.
You have related two types of workhorses in this post, the 12.7 LT Cummins engine with an Allison automatic 4x4 transmission, to your own horse. Two very powerful engines that keep on going even when the going gets tough. One mechanical, one physical.

Yee Haw Mike, thanks a lot, I was born on a horse (I have a sayin there, Ill save it for later) and I love heavy equipment especially if I'm stylin and profilin lol. Being positive for others is real good, but it's important for yourself as well. I have a saying...No one needs you more than you need yourself. Right?

I daydreamed a lot as a kid ... achieved a lot.
It was many years before I realised how powerful those visualisations were.

It needs to be taught in school. What you think. They teach in sports all professionals pay thousands for Mindset programs, Why cant they teach to children. Heaven knows our youth need positive guidance. Bible tells me that it's part of my job ( I find for you later) to raise a positive child. I raised three, all three have Powerhouse skills . I have another saying I taught them, LEAD, FOLLOW, or GET THE HELL OUT OF WAY, somebody has to do it. and each one can do either position, lol

You've raised a couple of interesting points:
I agree totally with your comment about teaching it in Schools.
Ironically, in the early 60s (aged 12 to 14 in England) I had a rare and very enlightened School sports teacher (Jim Philbrook was his name. He taught sports team members the power of visualisation!
(I didn't connect that with daydreaming until many years later).
He helped a number of us do pretty well in various sports. Rugby, cross-country and cricket for example. Several of my peers and I achieved national school places in Rugby and running.
Later, as a manager, I always tried to replace myself ... so what I did in effect was to lead then get the hell out of the way.

That's me too. If I can Lead I can, if not then I try my best to follow (if interested), but I also have no problem being a spectator, garbing a chair and staying out of the way. That's kinda gal I I am lol.
Still trying to get past Tony wearing panties lol. Anyways sure visioning your future self is key to taking the required action to get there. Nice post Lisa.
