Learning a new language
Working a 9-5 job has too many restrictions. Rules to follow, dealing with the public, and income caps, just to name a few. Plus, I don't play well with others for long period. This is not for me, I am not that kinda gal, but I am a negotiable kinda gal. I learned this skill very young, as I had 1,000 acres, no rules, and only child growing up. As I grew, I had to learn skills that weren't taught and definitely didn't come naturally. Then there are those times when I must place hand on hip and stomp my foot. I still do this, to this day. Joining with WA has just tickled me to death, cause they have everything I need and want all at the same place. However, I have found myself in a negotiation situation.
I have a rule, LEAD, FOLLOW, OR GET HELL OUTA MY WAY. When I want something I go for it. I haven't wanted anything few years now. Now... I want something, Money, and the biggest chunk I can get my hands on without robbing a bank. This is Non- Negotiable. No foot stopping involved. I can't LEAD because I need to (Rule) GET EDUCATED. I am not in a position to FOLLOW one, because I can get "burnt out" if I am not satisfied with results sooner than later. That's one reason I like Wealthy Affiliates. There's so much to learn, activities to do, task of devotion, large community included. Plus I can earn lil tags, as this was my mama way of reward as a child when I had completed a chore. These type of program fits my ADHD just right. Then I met WordPress. I may be blonde and lil rough around the edges and out of practice to say the least. But I have Never found an ALPHA that I can't get along with.
WordPress is considered an Alpha, due to it's complexity. Its popularity has grown rapidly due to it's sophistication. Its build a streamline of programs to be included on it's own team. Please correct me if I am wrong. My first time was with BlueHost, as they also use WordPress for website design.
Yesterday, I stared a handful of classes with WordPress, getting educated. It's part of the negotiation of reaching my goal, and making me stomp my foot couple days ago when my site %'^$&_ up and Google gave me bad reporting.
Today, I am back on track, completed 3 studies today, with the design, but also the action. I was taught in the 80s, computers don't do what you want, they do what you tell them to do. Now people, I can't even talk to Siri cause she can't understand my southern draw. I don't need her anyway.
I am learning a new language. Not the outside of a platform. Even blondes can get around a platform, with a good head light lol, but the inside, telling what I wanna do, it's my website. I like to be satisfied because this increases my efforts. Which, kicked in the urge to blog. Even read a brief blog today about writing skills, hell I thought it was personal sent at first lol, as I know I am unconventional, as my daughter told me at 8 years old. Lol hurt my feeling at first til another child took me as show-in-tell.
I (Rule)got my "BOOTS ON BABY." With Wealthy Affiliates by my side, it's gives me "GET HELL OUTA WAY" attitude to those "window shoppers" yall call em. Good night yall

Do you find yourself, at times...All over the place? I made myself a lil schedule with time limits that helping that issue. So much to do and I run out of time lol. Im a list and note taker too, are you? Does it help?
By the seat of my pants as daddy puts it. Lol. With ADHD, this is my usual too. Im gonna try this schedule time see if it helps
Immersion in the online world does bring with it some complexities, the cool thing about WA is that we are in the right place to learn the skills that we need to succeed.

I would have to agree that learning all the computer jargon spoken on this and the WordPress platform can have those with no computer knowledge in a bit of a headspin.
My advice to most of the novice members here is to take it slow this is not a sprint to the finish line this is a marathon that when done properly will withstand the test of time.
Equally important, is the fact that most novices quit new business endeavors due to lack of inspiration, motivation, and inconsistency. It would appear that your natural lifestyle will help you preserver over these main obstacles and excel to great heights.
I look forward to reading about your achievements as you reach them. One very strong suggestion, it may sound like a sensitive issue trust me it is not.
I am a retired construction worker so the F-bomb was part of my vocabulary (like about every 5th or 6th word). It was one of my hardest tasks to learn, but one that has increased my success by 100 fold easily: that was the ability to hold a conversation with potential customers without using any profanity.
Believe me, I write the way I would normally talk to you in person that's my style. Furthermore, it was very hard at first not to use profanity but, like with any change that takes place in our lives: over time, it will get easier.
But I must say, the inner drive and gusto, are over the top, and exhilarating.

Glad to see that you find that anything is possible when your mission becomes your passion, and your passion can lead you to success.
With every step, we take, whether it's through a new skill, a new procedure, or even small steps of growth in our own personal development. All will shorten the path to success, we just need to concentrate on the goal and how we got to it for those steps to be worth the time to learn and achieve.
What is worth more the goal achieved or the skills learned/earned to achieve the goal?

Unfortunately, the only worked that comes to mind is "heck" and that is not all that dramatic of a word. :(
