Just me and my "lil blessing"
Finally, I found the courage and the initiative to take Action this morning! I have been so disgusted with the emails piling up daily, that I took all I could. Everytime, I delete 2,000, another 3,000 show up. It was I cycle that needed my undivided attention for my own sanity. By the time I was finished, which took over 2 hours to get these emails deleted. .{ "Lil Blessing" is a bit slower than me.} So if anything was of importance, and I didn't catch it, to archive; It's Now Gone.
I considered it an insane part of my day that finally took the toll. The "straw that broke the camel's back". { Sorry, Jeff } , but that camel was hauled off this morning. Not to say that this won't happen again, because I don't like emails. How am I going to come to terms with my issues? As, it will be tied into my business? My email list is Super important tool to keep in touch with my followers and customers. So, I'm open for suggestions from those who have experience and have delt with a similar problem. Opinions are not of use, Ineed experienced, fellow entrepreneures who have physically delt in this email issue, Please.
How much attention should I devote to emails? I want to break the attention into two parts; morning and evening. I've tried this inside my schedule {Hugh}, at 30 minute intervals. Obviously, this didn't work because the emaisl doubled from my last blog addressing them. How did you place in your schedule? {Hugh} However, I do feel a relief of their absence now. Perhaps they won't be so hard to maintain. Not! I don't like emails. Period. Convenient or not. That's just too many conversations to have, individually.
Blogging is therapy. I feel better. Thanks for listening to me rant. By now, I'm sure you have figured "how much I'll take". There is nothing worth stressing your life over, when a little aggressive Action won't fix. LOL
I kicked email butt today, BET. Which, makes me sweet today. { That's another can of worms}

Hi, Lisa.
You may want to decrease email by selecting only certain types. If you haven't already one so, take a look at the types you are receiving and only check the type you want. For example, you may not want to receive an email everytime someone likes a post.

Yes I did that 2 days ago. I do like doing it all right here, except I don't get a new friend post on here it comes thru mail. Thanks doc, I still need to figure out filtering in emails on google itself. I'm still very new

I solved the problem Yvonne. I just deleted the majority, now I need to investigate my achieves but over 55,000 emails are GONE. Just delete this and start over unless they are from your business address. I have 4 emails, 55,000 was from the main one, not my business. and I'm behind on blogs too, but something in me today I'm getting caught. I think I'm doing too much research on certain blogs.

The question Lisa is, where are all the emails coming from? Are they potentially useful sources, or are they not needed?
If they’re not needed, then unsubscribe before deleting.
What email service are you using?

If you are subscribed to lots of different senders just deleting will not solve the problem for long. If you are now down to zero I suggest you aggressively unsubscribe when new emails come in that you don't want to keep.

yes sir, I have unsubscribed to over 50 or more just built up over last couple of years. Time to find new friends, right? lol so I'll continue doing that. That was my main email. not my business, so it was the last problem. Iv got those other boys in line to keep business straight.
I been the most undeleting heffer on my block for past month now lol Rich. Some keep send until I drop one of those unwanted email returns I lay on em. Third time a charm, I say
By the time im done replying to email after dinner its time for bed. next thing you know its friday night and Jays training and nothing got accomplished.

Lisa I fully understand what you mean. ITS A PAIN !!!!, the first thing I do is delete a ton of them. then reply back to the ones that have responded to my posts, then reply to the ones that im closest to. then i look at the ones that peak my interest. ... You will recieve email from everything you sign up to. pace yourself. but you cant get to them all.. its impossible. Pace yourself, and dont let it overwhelm you.
Thanks Mike, that is one reason I have several emails, that was personal one I use a lot but I use a different one for business, don't you? Then I have incognito one, and then the last one I retired last week. When the mood hits me I'll set up another for affiliate only and I need another incognito lol
I have only 1 email. Before WA I only checked it twice per year just to delete everything. I hate checking email. other than talking to ppl its non productive. I would rather be putting posts in my blog. BUTTT.. we need to to stay on top. and learn from other ppls experience, and for motivation so its important. Do not overwhelm yourself. if you do it sucks the fun out of it. And the experience here is intended to push you to grow and stretch you with other like minded people.. My suggestion is chop off some of the other emails, and limit yourself here to certain people. Reply to comments and grab a few to learn from. you dont need to follow a million people. every one you follow you get email from when they post, or when they reply to your post. Do not overwhelm yourself. Outside of WA you still have to live as well... I work 60 hours per week plus this.. By the time I get home from work i have 13 1/2 hours in. have to eat ,shower, get stuff ready for work.. plus sleep. then be back up at 3:45 am. My goal is to work from home and make me rich instead of the CEO at RYDER rich. so i dont have to give up 14 hours per day. Time is worth more than money. but to get the time you have to push yourself
kool strategy, I'm keeping my incognito, It's kinda like trucking across to West side I'm No body, but by the time I reload on way back, I become somebody again and nobody knows I was even there lol. Good night boys lol
i followed your advice, I don't want to know what everybody is doing. I do good worry about what I'm doing lol. Even then, I keep it a lil secret
keep some for advice and learning strategies. You can only do so much email or you will not have time for your blog, which is what you came here to do. Not play with email all day. I cant wait to quit driving. 34 yrs is long enough
Way long, its not like it used to be out there. At least you have something to fall back on. Keep those CDLs. They are in high demand, drive local , your family would love that. Either way find time for your dreams, make them come true and retire off of them. Them you can sit around and write ole war stories about being on the road. I thought about it. Maybe I'll squeeze one in every once in awhile if its legal lol
