Anyone else promoting MOMU?

I just thought I'd see if anyone else is trying to promote MOMU and might appreciate a fellow promoter to bounce ideas off?

I know from previous (unrelated) experiences another person can help hugely in getting things moving and to critique or help the other. I'm definitely in a position where I could use some opinions of anyone who's promoting the same product. Also more than happy to reciprocate.

I'm still very much in the early phases of IM so if anyone is of similar level or even more or less advanced and would appreciate a promoting buddy, just let me know!

Mike

Thanks MikeyT. Happy to have you critique the site. That would be very valuable to me. Just wanna hang out around here for a bit to find out how things are suggested/done here before I embarrass myself showing my site. I now know I originally got some bad advice from the course I took on IM and my site shows it. Will clean it up a bit and let you take a peek. Thanks very much.

Hey no worries, the last thing I want to do is put pressure on you.

I sort of know how you feel. I was very sceptical about listing my site here, as I didn't originally want anyone here to see it. It's probably the niche as well that made me feel that way. I'm still not 100% in love with the idea of listing it, but hey, If nothing else I'm treating it as a back link. I'm only on my second attempt at this and I would definitely redesign my site if I had more time (I will in future) as I'm not happy with the header at all. I got someone on Friverr.com to do it for 5 bucks, so I'm happy for now, but will invest a little more next time lol.

Please take all the time you need to get yourself comfortable with how you want the site to look first and definitely spend some time hanging out and getting a feel for everything. You don't necessarily need to display it here for all to see either, you could PM me the link as and when you're ready. But, I totally understand if you don't want to.

I have also been marketing MOMU. Got site up and running end of June 2012. Get up in the Serps for a while and then hit a penalty or something. Right now nothing happening. Zero sales - tumble weeds blowing by. I know my content is weak and vastly needs improving. I checked out your site a few days ago quickly, but will check it out a little closer to see how you are doing things.

Hey Kevin, that's cool. My feeling is there are a few here who are also promoting this. You'll probably find that google will have your site in it's ' sandbox ' while it decides if it contains genuine content before putting it back into the SERPs. It could be out of the SERPs from a couple of months all the way up to 6 months like mine was. Don't worry about this. Most new sites have to go through this within it's first few months of life. One day it just pops back into place. Just keep adding good content and build your site out gradually in a realistic way (i.e. don't add 5000 backlinks in one day as google will see that as suspect!) Let me know if you want me to critique your site or anything and please feel free to check mine out. Mine still doesn't have much there yet.

MOMU is one of Travis's products. (He started here at WA) There is a huge affiliate base and lots off competition. Might not want to attempt this on your first go. If you still like the idea, promote it once you have learned the basics.

Thanks for the heads up Labman... yeah it most definitely is a crowded market! I'm just adding to it slowly whilst I do my training and I'm intrigued to see if I can actually make any sales. Jaaxy has been a big help for some awesome keywords. Already got to the number one spot for 2 of the main site keywords.

Yeah, we gave it a bit of a shot awhile back. http://loveadviceforyou.com/ The site suffered from lack of enthusiasm. :) Don't think we made any sales.

It'd be nice to get it up and running again, though, and actually do something with it.

Hey gmee, thanks for the reply! Great site btw, I can see you put up a load of content on there. : ) I haven't got anywhere near than much in the way of content, but I'm adding it slowly. I made one sale (which was refunded apparently) so I know it works, but just need to keep building it out. (http://howtofixabreakup.com)

So how do you fair in the SERPs if you don't mind me asking? I think I'm still being punished by google as the results from my site have disappeared off the front page again. : (

I wouldn't have thought it would take too much effort to get your site making some consistent sales. I just had a quick look and there seem to be quite a few broken links to the articles. It could also help to embed the link to the MOMU site into the picture at the top of the page, rather than it taking you to flickr. Have you thought about building a list?
