How I made £13000 in one month!!

It seems to me that most people read blogs that discuss how much money one has made, obvious and natural because thats why we are here. I want to do four things in this short blog, tell a little story, debunk a myth or two, have you watch a 9 minute and 57 second movie and recommend some training.

In 1993 I graduated from the university of Colorado Dental school and in 1994 graduated from the University of Michigan. I had worked my butt off for 10 years to be the best dentist I could be, I studied, I sweated, I researched and I read and I graduated #3 with a magna cum laude (hons). After 10 years and $75000 in student loans, yep that 3 zeros not 2, I was a doctor. When I moved back to the UK in 2004, I studied again to take my International Qualifiers, more prodding and analysing and testing. One of my first pay-checks in this country was a few pounds short of 13000, yep 3 zeros again. That was after 10 years of training and 10 years of late nights, bloody hands and midnight terrors of payroll and taxes. Now thats the story!!

Here's the myth guys and I direct it a little to the younger ones who are here to 'make the money now'. being successful and earning good money is not easy, if it were then we would all have been doing this a long time ago or we would all be doctors. IT'S TOUGH. I see people worrying after 2 months that it's not working. Someone said it takes 10 000 hours to be an expert at something, 2 hours a day twice a week and a bit on the weekends aint gonna cut it, if you want money now. Money does equal time, effort talent and skill. Learn the techniques in here and work at it. Work at it till your head hurts, work at it till you are confused and mad then take a break and let it sink in some. There is no easy way to make money unless you win that lottery.

In this high speed, media overload, insect attention span culture we live in, 9 minutes and 57 seconds is a long time. How can you possibly sit still for 10 minutes and simply watch something. Well go get a drink, sit down and do yourself a favor. I have many heroes in life, most of them are a bit maverick but Will Smith is quite the incredible character. His take on life is well worth the listen and he outlines some key attributes that we all need to aspire to in here.
