Changing Font Size On WordPress

It may just be me, but it seems as though I have heard many people mention having problems with being able to change their Font Sizes on WordPress. Some Themes do not have this Problem, but I have found many that do. I have seen a few people that messed with Style Sheet, but I feel that can be dangerous. I hope I am not wrong, but I am going to share how I finally took care of my Font Size issue. It should work with any Theme. I went to Add New Plugin, went to Search plugin Box. I Typed TinyMCE Advanced. Then I installed TinyMCE Advanced, and Activated it. Then I went to the left toolbar of WordPress, and hovered the Settings icon. Then I clicked on TinyMCE Advanced. Then at the bottom of page you will find box labelled Unused Buttons. I Drug the Font Sizes Box up to the toolbar above where my Content for Pages or Posts go. Then I Saved. Then I was able to go to my Edit Post or Page and change my Font size with ease. I even highlighted my whole Post or Page and then clicked Font Size and changed the size of my entire Post or Page. I am writing this so that I remember what I did, and so that maybe this will help others interested in changing their Font Size without having unnecessary issues. In hopes of helping a few!

Sweet how this somehow dropped in my lap. I was unable to change font today : ). I'll give it a shot tonight : ) Awesome Michael!

This was a great find, but is there a way I can get a font size of 13pt? 14 is too big and 12 is not big enough

Nvm, I found out. I just edit the code in the editor.

This was very helpful, Michael! Thanks!!

Alvin, Glad it helped!

Marie, My pleasure. Hope it helped you some!

most people recommend WP edit plugin - have you guys got any experience in the difference between tinyMCE and WP edit?

I believe one has more buttons then the other. You should be able to install both and see the difference. Uninstall the one the don't care for.

Great information. I was wanting to be able to change font size recently but could not figure out how to make the change. thanks for sharing and the step by step instructions.

Thanks for this. You can also use one of the buttons to change the font style itself. In the past I have asked the question how you could change the font style in Wordpress. Nobody came up with a proper answer. I tried it by using HTML and CSS without success. Now it turns out to be really simple

I was actually looking for a way to make the font bigger a couple days ago when I was working on my website. This is going to be extremely helpful! Thank you so much!!!

Many thanks for this.

A lot of themes also have an option to change the font size in their Appearance > Customize settings. This can enable you to change the font size across all the content in a site in a couple of clicks. So, faster than doing it on individual pages.

That is nice information if you have Themes that have that option. I am afraid mine do not. Maybe your way will help many people having problems changing Font Size. I like having it in my Toolbar to use anytime I want with ease. As long as people get the help they need is all that matters to me. Good Luck in your Success!

Yep, agree it's very handy to have it in TinyMCE. I use that too all the time - first plugin I install on a site.

will look out for this on various themes, unfortunately my current one doesn't have that option

Ok installed the plugin. Now when I go to the edit page for one of my pages what do I do to change the font size?
