Hello again, when signing up for Pinterest, is it recommended to do it on a business account or personal account or maybe even both? Thanks.

Mike

With the business account, you get access to analytics (something that is not available to the personal account). This alone sets it apart. This gives an idea of monthly viewers/impressions. And, what they save from your website.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
Thanks. I think I only did the personal account, I will have to double check.

Bill

To get the best from Pinterest you really need a business account. You can change your personal account into a business one if you are already on there with a personal account.
Without it being a business you can't post directly from your website or create Rich Pins. These are Pins that give more info to the reader. You can find my training on it here. Hope this helps.

All good suggestions in the below thread.

If you are using Pinterest to promote your business, open a business account. It’s free! The dashboard has analytics windows that can help owners with their business insights.

If you already have a personal account, you might cross-post, but as Anita does, it’s best to manage them separately.

Thanks very much for the advice. That's the way I am going to go. Mike

I already had a personal site, so I decided to open a business account for my website. It's just easier to keep the two separated for now.

They say Business account and you verify your website. It is also free and you have to have a business account if you ever decided to venture into ads.

Mike

I used a personal account, then created a board just for my website. But have never received traffic from Pinterest.

Good Morning, quick question: When getting Comments from our fellow WA members for our website, should we direct those mainly to our Home Page or spread them out in our other i

For me, When I'm on the give and take comment thread, and someone is asking for a comment, i will often times comment then request a return favor directing them to my homepage and let them pick which one they want to comment on, unless i'm the one requesting a comment then i submit a specific post..

On site feedback I submit the homepage so members can get a full overview of the site.

With site comments i just pretty much stick with particular posts exclusively.

Brad

I believe you would chose as to the area you desire a comment. You chose the post and so now it is clearer for others to do exactly what you want. I believe it would be better to spread them out.

Yes, your comments should go to the right page of your website, so others that are on that subject can see them.

When you are asking for comments on "site-comments" you can select what post or page you'd like to have the comment on and also whether it is a general comment you are after or a specific point you'd like to have commented on.

Hope this helps you out =)
Cheers - SF

Good day SF.
Thanks for your comment. I am following you now and have a great day.
Jules

Mike, you are supposed to request comments and feedback in the SiteRubix area. In SiteRubix, you click on SiteComments. There is a difference between "comments" and "feedback," so be sure you know which you are asking for.

You need to have credits to request comments. You earn credits by giving comments or feedback in those areas. This ensures that everyone gets the information and content they need (as comments are ranked in Google as content).

Thanks for checking in. I understand the process and the difference between Comments and Feedback. The question was whether to direct the comments to my home page on my website or other posts within that website. You can choose what part of your website where the comments are directes. Take care.

Mike

You can choose which area of your site you are getting comments or feedback on by pasting that URL for the page instead of just the URL for your site.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you meant. If I am, I whole-heartedly apologize. It's on 11:00 am here and I feel stressed. I don't usually feel stressed working, and I'm not stressed about work, but I am stress about something on my end, so I am not firing on all cylinders right now.

Anita

You want your posts to rank as well. Request comment on all of your posts those (quality) comments are important to Google.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I have been spreading them out with more going to my Home Page. I will continue to do so. And also thanks for understanding the question. I guess it may have been confusing since I was getting all kinds of interesting responses. Have a good day.

Mike

No problem, I know exactly what you are asking. I wasn't able to host here because of the size of my site and I really miss being able to use the comment feature on Site Rubix. I would like to get those comments for modernbnb.com !!!!

Comments are post/page specific Mike.
If I am understanding you clearly, when someone posts a comment, they are giving you a genuine and relevant response/contribution to what they have read.

I use better-recent-comments plugin to display comments via a widget on all of my pages...if that's what you mean.

Hello All. My WA website is about a month and a half old and I understand getting it to rank will probably take time. I am working diligently with the basics that we have bee

Content is KING. Continue to work on that diligently and the rest comes works itself out. You will know when it's time to pay for anything...I think it's too early to give the engines money yet.

Thanks for checking in. No shortcuts. Just need to keep on with the training and development and it will come naturally. Take care.

Mike

Words of wisdom for both of us!

Hi Mike,

My websites are about 1 month old as well. One is ranked and the other one is not. I can't really figure out why. I used the same training and methods for both websites. Although the one that is not ranked is about 2 weeks newer than the first website.
I guess you should just keep writing engaging content with keywords and eventually it will get ranked. Also, my website that has rankings, some posts are ranked and some are not.

Best of luck to you!

Lisa

Not sure regarding benefits. I am staying away at the moment.

I would be careful. Paid ads bring traffic, but once you cut their budget the traffic stops. It is much better to have a solid base of organic traffic first.

Try using facebook or google+ groups to target more specific interests.

That is very true!

My past experience pre-WA with paid ads is that you really need to be diligent about checking performance of them constantly and taking down ones that don’t work and boosting ones that are working better for you. Otherwise you are just throwing money to the wind.

Even so, you can really rack up sizable charges doing so and the ROI on it isn’t that great in the end from what I can tell. For instance if you set a daily budget of $5 per day and had maybe 20 click through to your website for those ads, and only 1 out of those 20 actually made a purchase. In order to even break even, that 1 click would have to purchase at least $100 ($5 in paid ads divided by 5% commission).

Sorry for the numbers exercise but I have a bean counter background so I think of these things. Anyway, my point is, you would have to really hit upon a low PPC ad that works well for you in combination with customers who actually buy at a high ROI in order to make it worthwhile.

I hope this makes sense.

Dave

yea Dave that is the point Return On Investment ROI stawhu

If that is the route you want to take then Bing Ads are not very expensive and not that difficult to get to grips with.

Facebook is very reasonable as well and you will see that quite a number of members have brought referrals in through this method.

Having ads will not speed the process of getting traffic to your sites. There are things that will. Have you watched the following two Video training replays by Jay Neill? They are really good and the techniques that he teaches will increase traffic to your site. There is also this older training that has helped me: Jay also has a Live Training tomorrow: 7 Brilliant Traffic Strategies You Must Know in 2018/ If you can attend the training Live, you should sign up for it. Otherwise, you should look for it to be released as a recorded training on Saturday or Sunday and watch it then.

I hope you find these videos as helpful as I did.

Anita

Thanks Anita for checking in. I am a big believer in the training and development here at WA and spend quite a bit of time learning and applying. I'll continue to grow the business and be more patient. Take care.

Mike

Mike, I believe that patience is something we could all be better at.

Have a great day!

Anita

Interesting!

My experience with paid ads is that is not for the inexperienced or faint of heart. If cash flow is not a problem and you are up for a fairly steep learning curve then go for it. Otherwise I would concentrate on the courses and get all that stuff down first. As Kyle teaches ranking is not goal right now in the beginning and if you follow the courses it will come more naturally than you think.

Hello, why is the pricing for registering a domain on WA more expensive than Name Cheap? Do we receive more for the price? Thanks

Namecheap offers a discount for the first year of hosting. After that, the prices are similar.

Domain privacy is included in WA's pricing but costs about $3 per domain per year at Namecheap.

Namecheap's prices are usually heavily discounted only for the first year's registration. After that initial year, their prices are similar to WA's. Domain privacy protection costs a few bucks extra at namecheap as does an SSL certificate. Both of those items are included in WA's pricing.

[added]
Sorry, an error on my part -- The SSL certificate is a function of the hosting company rather than the registrar. Since WA is both a registrar and a hosting company, they can provide the certificate at no additional charge.

Cool, thanks Bob for the info. Take care.

Mike

Hi mgsaiz,
The price for domain here is about what you will generally pay out there. some may be cheaper, but the community and the WA program and courses are totally worth the few extra bucks. The interface makes it very easy to build you site.
Dom
