Hey Mike,
You have great responses here.
I have 2 sites and it's been a real challenge. I'm working on getting back to just 1 site for now. Once I have good traffic and earning monthly income to my expectations, then I'll hire a writer,
Then, I'll go to my 2nd site and do the same.
To me, working on 2 sites has been a nightmare. You can always build that 2nd site later.
I like the question that Abie presented.
Which niche do you enjoy talking about the most to your friends, families, and strangers? In other words, you can't stop talking about it. You wake up in the morning thinking about it, and during the day the same thing ...
Also, will you have enough products to promote?
My thoughts...
Monica
My advice would be to build both and see how you go. Then sell the one you're less interested in.
I tried a locksmith site, but even though I have been a locksmith for 31 years, it was simply not my passion! My passion is writing books! I hope you get it figured out, Mike!
Jeff
You would't know unless you try!
I created my website based on the thing I have been doing for a really long time. And it's NOT a struggle because you post what you know and have been dealing with the entire time.
A website created from something you LOVE and based on your 30 year career sounds like a really good decision!!!
Cheers,
Maria

How important is the income from your site? If you have a love and passion that can also be lucrative, go for it.
If you are sure there's an audience for your 30-year career's worth of knowledge, plus affiliate programs to match, then that may be the first choice.
Either way, make sure it is something you love because you know how much time you'll be spending with it as you grow it into something.

I've been away for a couple of years and now returning.
I built 3 websites and it was taxing as heck! I have deleted 2 of the sites .
The 3rd website is nowebexperi
sorry for the pain, sometimes if someone is not passionate about the niche, won t be engaged to work on the site. failing is not bad. you will come.back stronger.... making mistakes is the beggining of success
I recall you had a site involving hunting. I guess that one didn't produce for you? If that's the case I am sorry to hear it.
Joe
Quite a lot of content on there.
Must be worth something but not being active for a while will negatively affect it.
Best of luck selling it
You may list it on Flippa.
However, I see it is specific MMO niche site, I would consider reviving it.
I don't know if you are aware however there's no content on the separate posts, just titles.

I am about to go to an updated theme and be done with the horrible free Admiral theme. I am doing some maintenance and the only thing I have left is caching!
How do I clear
Did you get your site straightened out?
My site is getting horrible results on site speed tests when I have the WA SiteSpeed Extreme setting on?
I attached an example of some of the results:
I have no idea how to fix this and am scared to install any plugins for it because I read how people's websites are destroyed.
I am also getting some results that are showing Wealthy Affiliate Site Content issues and Gravatar ones.
Go to websites/ site manager/details. Right under site details you will see site speed. Just turn it on. Very easy.
Hey Mike,
If you are hosting your website on WA servers you do NOT need a cache plugin any more.
When you turn on SiteSpeed (found when clicking on your website's Details button) you will find your site no longer needs the W3 Total cache plugin... or any other for that matter.
Hope you find this helpful.
Mike,
I do believe that ShuiHyen answered this question for you! But so glad you did get your site back :)
Susan
I had a bad experience with W3 cache plugin and it crashed my site.
But recently, WA has updated the site speed to include the cache option.
“SiteSpeed at WA has historically had one option....ON or OFF. As of today, you can still turn SiteSpeed ON and OFF, but also choose from two speeds.
Accelerated: SiteSpeed Accelerated provides a sophisticated, highly compatible, and ultra fast caching option to vastly increase the overall speed of websites. This is the default caching option providing speed improvements for cached pages up to 20x faster than normal loading.
Extreme: SiteSpeed Extreme uses the same technology as the SiteSpeed Accelerated, however we take the optimization one step further by combining and minifying JavaScript and CSS. Experience even bigger speed gains over Accelerated and achieve the highest Google PageSpeed Insight scores.”
Here is the Carson post’s link: Your Websites Just got Accelerated and More Secure! Hope it helps.
I'm actually going through the same thing as we speak!!! Site support is trying to figure out what's going on with it. It's crashed and I cannot access it after installing the W3 Total cache plugin. They deactivated ALL my plugins and I can pull up my site in search, but cannot access my account through the WA Back end... Can I asked how long until you were back up?
I would try to deactivate it first than delete it. Try looking on youtube for information about how to delete caching on wordpress website.

Looking for ways to speed up page load times. Has anyone used Cloud Flare for this ? Is there a plug in etc that will help? Site is loading slowly !
Best of success!
Thanks for asking this question... I hadn’t heard of Cloudflare but got some good advice!

Hello, Mike, my Chinese website jhrs.com uses free cdn is cloudflare, access speed in mainland China is also good, optimize website speed using cdn is only one aspect, the website built with wordpress can not install too many plugins, Otherwise, as your website becomes more and more articles, opening will become very slow.
My site had HORRIBLE loading times due to all my images etc... I installed imagify to help optimize my images and WPRocket I think it's called to help cache out my pages and have them load quicker. Also, contact site support. They will look into your loading issues and may be able to help you with some good ideas. They helped me quite a bit. Good luck :)
Hi Mike, for that purpose I think many sites explain that there are many tutorial providers and page variations
Most site speed issues are from images and getting data from external websites.
As mentioned below https://tools.pingdom.com/ will tell you where the problems lie. Scroll down and sort by Load Time instead of Load Order.
P3 plugin has not been updated for around 3 years and may not be compatible with the current version of WordPress.
You can check the issues through https://gtmetrix.com/
There is also a plugin in WordPress called P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) You can install that and activate it and see if there are any issues with Plugins. Then you can deactivate it.
Thanks Mike, likewise.
I regularly check GtMetrix and Pingdom.com as well.
Both sites are consistent with each other and tell you where the problems lie.

Checking the Google seacrh console.
Should any targeting info be placed?
Also: Are hreflang tags required for international targeting?
Thanks
Mike
Google responds to search queries based on the IP of the computer that makes the request.
You would only use hreflang tags when publishing content in multiple languages.and different regions. Search engines detect the language of a page and automatically match it to the language settings on a user’s browser. ~Jude
If you want your site to be international, don't limit it in any way. It's my understanding that once you 'target' a country, the others get left by the wayside. I could be wrong about this, however. I always target the US for all my sites.
