You may have heard that Black Friday has started at Wealthy Affiliate.

You may already know there is so much to be gained from joining the platform for a whole year.

However, there are some people who should avoid joining WA on Black Friday.

This blog post will show you exactly who should avoid Black Friday here and explain my WA journey.

My Wealthy Affiliate Story

It was the start of another school year in sunny Qatar.

I can't explain exactly what was different this year (September 2018) but something felt different.

It felt...

The same.

You've probably had that moment before where you realise you're just going round in circles, not really progressing or moving forwards in your career, or life!

So I stumbled onto some article about how this woman makes over $100k a month online.

That was it, I heard about people doing this before but now I was hooked... I NEEDED to figure out how people make money online.

Particularly how they create this "online business".

The thing is... I had no idea where to start!

I had no idea how to even create a website.

I tried out a few (terrible) courses that promised you could push a button and you'd start making money with a ready made website.

It turns out I should have listened to the saying...

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

They were all scams!

Then I stumbled across this platform... Wealthy Affiliate

The Start

So when I started here, I was amazed at how many people reached out to me to see if I needed help.

I was amazed at how I had built a website (that I controlled) in a matter of minutes (I thought you needed to code or be techie!)

I was also...

Overwhelmed!

The Panic

"So I'm supposed to write all of the content on my own website?

Wealthy Affiliate won't do this for me?

But I don't know anything!"

This is the definition of imposter syndrome. It turns out it's completely normal when you start something new and you don't fully understand it.

So I did what any normal person would do...

PANIC!

I thought... man I better get writing some stuff then! This is going to take me ages!

So I wrote (most of it pointless... not on the same topic... not helpful to any particularr person)

But what I did do was...

Create a habit of writing (personally, I woke up an hour earlier every day and wrote... every morning... by the way I SUCK AT WRITING... "C Grade" English student at BEST!)

The Light

It wasn't until around March when it felt like this big penny dropped.

"I'm not doing what WA is telling me to do!"

I thought I was but I wasn't...

I hadn't defined my "niche".

I had written about... books, saving money, travelling, making money, productivity, index funds, gold and silver (basically I had missed an important step)...

Step 1- Choose a niche

It all became so obvious...

The successful ones are people that write about the same topic over and over again.

They speak to one person... not to many.

So I stuck to my niche and only wrote about that and...

Finally Google started to understand what my website was about. And people started to engage with it more!

And my website starting bringing in traffic from Google every month (and growing) for free.

But through this process here's what I have learnt so far...

Wealthy Affiliate is NOT for everyone!

Who Should AVOID Joining Wealthy Affiliate On Black Friday

Here are some people that shouldn't even consider upgrading to premium at Wealthy Affiliate on Black Friday:

• People that are looking for a quick fix to their problems
• Someone that only wants to make loads of money right now
• Anyone that wants someone else to do the work for them
• People that are not interested in helping other people
• Anyone that can't commit to 7+ hours a week (an hour a day is far better than 7 hours at the weekend)
• A person that has no interest in learning
• Someone that does not understand it WILL take time to see results
• Anyone that wants to pay 49% more for their membership (maybe you feel like you're stealing from Kyle and Carson?)

I could really just sum up all of these people in one sentence:

A person that's looking for instant gratification.

If you know that you're not going to be able to work on something for a few months before seeing results (i.e. traffic from Google & income from people buying products through affiliate links) then save yourself the time and money.

Who Is Wealthy Affiliate For?

So here are some people that should consider joining Wealthy Affiliate during Black Friday:

• Someone that wants more control of their life
• Anyone who understands the power of exponential growth
• A person that is prepared to work hard now to see the rewards later
• Anyone looking to work from home (or anywhere with internet) or quit their job
• Someone who is already a premium member and wants to give tthemselves the best chance of success (a year is proven to drastically increase the chance of success, just read my story above!)
• A person who wants to get the best deal at Wealthy Affiliate (it costs just $0.82 a day!)
• Someone looking to invest in themsleves

Wealthy Affiliate is not for everyone.

You will have to work hard and I guarantee you'll get really frustrated at some point after putting in loads of work and feeling like you're not getting anywhere.

But as long as you don't quit and stay consistent, it's impossible to fail.

STOP!!

Now re-read that last sentence.

Black Friday in 2020 is from the 29th November-2nd Decmeber (Yes today is the last day!)

Why Upgrade For a Year

If I hadn't upgraded for a year I guarantee I wouldn't even be writing this now.

2. Put in consistent time every day (wake up 1 hour earlier to write before going to work) this will help to grow your business more than you realise
3. You are not an imposter, you do know what you're writing about and people appreciate you as a "research assistant" if you have to research it first.
