Which Path Are You Following? The Script or Unscripted?
Have you ever read a book, where it feels like the author is speaking directly to you? Like they know exactly what's holding you back and what stage you're at?
The last couple of weeks MJ DeMarco been helping me unlearn so much crap (can I write that here?!) we get taught throughout our whole lives... it’s genuinely pretty scary when you think about it!
But it doesn’t have to be...
His second book unscripted is very similar to taking the “red pill” in the matrix.
If you haven’t seen the film (I literally forced Sah to watch that with me last night... again!) then crawl out of your cave and watch it! Don’t just look at it and be amazed at how bad the graphics are compared to what you thought watching it years ago...
No, watch it... take in the messages and read between the lines!
We are constantly fed this bullsh...tuff that we need to...
“get good grades, go to university to get into a pile of debt so that we can spend the rest of our lives paying down this debt with a terrible job that makes us believe we’re rich and get into more debt... by having a wedding that costs more than a small island, leasing a fast car and a getting a mortgage on a huge house in an area that we’ll never be able to afford”... and breathe!
What does all of this debt do?...
Forces us to stay at that job we hate... to pay for all of this junk!
But it’s not all bad.
Yes you need to work 5 days a week... "but you get 2 days off!!"
"Plus, in around 40-50 years time you might have a pension that can mean you get to “live it up” with your walking stick and a steady $2,000 a month to go wild in any museum you fancy!"
We’ve been taught “what to think”...
Not “how to think”
We accept this is “just how it is”.
After all, only “royalty and famous people” can afford to not live this script, right?
But what if there was a way that normal people got to choose HOW they spend their days?
What if normal people got to wake up without an alarm clock every day?
What if normal people could spend their time with the people they wanted and do things that genuinely help people?
