Perspective is Everything Today

Take a few seconds to look at this picture...
Now I want you to look carefully at the picture below... who do you see in the picture below?
How old would you say the lady is?
You probably can see a fashionable young lady around 25 years old with a petite nose.
If you were a young single man, you'd probably want to take her out on a date. She probably works as a fashion model somewhere.
---
But what if I were to tell you that it's actually a picture of an old haggard lady with a big nose?
If you were a young single man, she's more likely to be someone that you would help cross the street than consider taking out on a date.
Who's right?
Look at the picture again. Can you see the old lady?
How about now...
The point here is that if you look at the middle picture by itself you could see the young lady or the old lady.
It's just a matter of perspective.
However, to convince someone that it's a picture of the opposite lady without image 1 or 3 can be really hard. And even though you've seen the last picture you probably still see the young lady at first when you look at the middle image (because I showed you image 1 first).
Changing your view is like a paradigm shift.
The thing is we are brought up into the world with our own "paradigm" and perspective about everything. For most people it is completely normal to go to school, get a degree, get a job, get married, buy a big house work 5 days a week for 2 days off and do this for 50+ years of our life.
That is what's "normal" after all, right?
But is it really "normal" to do this? Or is it just that life and the people in our lives (teachers, family, friends, government etc.) have shown us this is normal?
Some people cannot even begin to think about another normality.
But if you are reading this message you are probably one of the people who knows deep down that "normal" can be anything we want it to be, such as:
- Waking up without an alarm clock
- Making money whilst you sleep
- Deciding what days to work each week
- Choosing who to spend time with each day
- Working on the things that are important to you or helping the people you want to help
After all, you are the only person that controls your life. The reason you are sitting wherever you are right now is from a series of life choices and your own paradigm that you have formed.
And if you want that paradigm to shift, all you need to do is look at the images in front of you from a different angle and a different perspective. And that's exactly what an online business has done for so many people.
Keep changing for the better,
Mike
The situation we're going through is not easy. We've had to adapt to it. For instance, my niche (travel) is dead these days. I've tried to come up with ideas, but it all reduces to speaking about the pandemic.
I've thought of opening another site and creating an ecourse. I'm looking into that.
Thanks for sharing. :)
