To fix the uncategorized here is a screen shot. When you a theme you have to make sure you can work with it and that it is user friendly. So, when you open up a post or page it is on the right side just make group and then you can place your post within a category.
I'm not familiar with that theme but you do need to make categories. Then as you write place each blog under a category and they will show up in those gray boxes.

I cannot figure out how to have a large overall picture (main pic) along with 3 other smaller ones..
You can add your large main picture an then add the 3 small ones with the media gallery under the large image.

I created the About, Privacy Policy, and other page. When I go to my website none of them show up...
Hi! I had exactly the same problem for a while. None of my pages showed up (unless I typed them into the search box on my site, but visitors wouldn't know what to type so the pages were useless). I figured out that the problem was my theme (mine was Twenty Seventeen). Some themes don't display the pages at all for some reason. So try changing your theme a few times and see if there's one that you like that works!

I'm not sure we are on the same page. Understand Website Pages & Creating Your First 3 In the video, all Kyle did was click "pages" and it displayed the 3 that he created. Then clicked on his website at the top left and his website displayed those 3 pages.
Mine shows nothing regarding the pages that I created.
Your help is appreciated.
Put in a request to have the training updated. The pages don't get automatically added to your menu unless you've already created your menu and you have ticked the box to have pages added automatically.
So your next step is to create a menu then you can add the new pages to the menu. Remember to Save your menu each time you add to it.
