My website is still raw and still figuring out how everything works on my website. I am working on a page about Guitar chords and uploaded a chord chart image that I can not fig
I can only see the heading image which looks fine. Is it this one that's bothering you? You can save the image to another file, say, Picture Gallery, Paint, or even MS Word, by basically making it wider or longer. The thing is they don't come up as clear as it should look. Find another image that's bigger in pixel size, if it doesn't work.
Hi Jen, The image is ok but I wanted it a little bit bigger so that people could see the chart better. Ok, I'll try your suggestion and I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you.
Hey, Mig, can you pls re-type your URL, as I can't access it. It's suppose to turn blue if it's correctly typed. Maybe put a slash after the word 'com'.

Your image is the correct size its just that WordPress is downsizing it before its loaded (1,024px × 768px (scaled to 474px × 356px)).
Cant see any reason why its not letting you take up the full page but I have never seen that theme before, are you able to switch the post/page type to image or full width?
It's 2014 theme. It lets me custom size it but when I try to enlarge it, the image would be the same. If I lower it then that seams to work.
Give me a few minutes and I will load 2014 on a test site and see if we cant solve the problem.

With no custom code box (that I could see) your only options are to change the wordpress code or switch to a theme more suited to displaying full size pictures.
I was thinking on changing theme too. Can you recommend a theme for what I do? One with good customization, simple music layout? I tried the "Musik" theme and I don't like the background color and cannot be changed.
I have a thing for pagelines http://wordpress.org/themes/pagelines , it has great customization options but can be a bit of a learning curve.
Why not start another thread here showing people your site and asking for options on a suitable theme?

I am thinking on a more broad name like for example Guitar lessons. This way I can have specific lessons under a broad domain name. Any suggestions?
what about focusing on an aspect of guitar playing like learning guitar riffs from your favorite songs-- learnfatriffs.com or learnguitarriffsfast.com, or guitarriffsmadeeasy.com - all are available. Easy guitar riffs actually has 676 monthly searches, QSR 156 and SEO power of 96.

I wouldn't worry about keyword rich domains or EMDs (Exact Match Domains). It's content that ranks, not domain names. I'd rather have a brand such as http://www.boohoo.com than http://www.buycheapdesignerwomensclothesonline.com Your domain name doesn't even have to be relevant, if it did http://www.amazon.com would sell river trips and http://www.apple.com would sell fruit! It can even be personal, http://www.craigslist.org I'd recommend having a read of this https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-development-programming/how-to-choose-a-proper-domain-name :) Rich.
OK Rich. I guess I picked that up from the lessons where Kyle talks about deciding between Branding domain name or keyword domain name.
There's nothing "wrong" with a keyword rich or EMD, just there's no added value in them these days. Here's my acid test. Check the last 100 websites you made a purchase from. The ones you actually parted with your hard earned dosh. In my case, none of them were EMDs, they were all brands. Hey, "Wealthy Affiliate", "Street Articles", "Jaaxy"... all brands. :) R.
It's better to find a domain name that is narrow and create your domain for that keyword. I was doing a search on the web and came up with "Free online guitar lessons" but the .com domain is taken for that. :( I was searching for more in Jaaxy.
Here is a really good one for you learnplayguitarlessons.com and it is available :)
