No, I am not going to talk Politics!

I am not going to talk Policies!

I will, however, talk about Campaigns.

Yes, Donald J Trump, the first non politician elected to be President will be sworn in a few minutes after Noon, tomorrow, Friday, Jan 20th, 2017. Regardless of how historic this is, we are not going to spend time on whether it is a good thing or not. Again, we are not talking politics or preferences.

We are going to be looking into the Campaign(s) that went on to make this happen. (For this purpose, we are going to ignore the primaries and all of those folks and go right to the general.)

The two battling it out were Donald T. and Hillary C. and it is a safe thing to say that ANY campaign that wins means they are the ones that did the least number of stupid things. The campaigns that you are involved in will have to be cast in the same light.

REMEMBER, You are not what is promoted, unlike a political campaign, although you do want your name associated with a great product or service.

You, in the campaign you have decided to run, are the campaign manager for this product. You must do more right things that wrong or stupid things. One of the stupid things that happened, in The Hillary Campaign, was the hiring of a campaign manager that was dumb enough, (or can we say, after all of this time about warnings all over the Internet, stupid enough?) to click on a link in an unsolicited email.

John Podesta clicking on this link allowed someone to hack into his email account. Dumb, dumb, dumb. What was discovered by all of us was that his email activities were not the same as yours should be. By looking at some of them, they are not at all complementary.

As Affiliate Marketers, or even the larger segment of people laboring in Internet Marketing, you use emails to assist you in building a relationship with potential customers or clients.

As a campaign manager, if your email account were hacked into and all of them are downloaded, and published, what will they say about you and what will they imply about the product or service you are promoting?

Will they show you are a student of life and commerce, as well as the product or service you offer so you can be considered an authority?

Will they show you providing informative material to your email list?

Will they show a respect for the ones you are communicating with and responding to their questions in a well thought out, systematic way?

Will they show a focused attempt to ensure your recipients that you have their best interest in your heart as they receive each and every one of these messages?

OR, do they show you are promoting, promoting, promoting with a hard sell every email that is only designed to make money, regardless of your ability to actually help?

If you published your entire auto-responder series to this forum, would it make you shine or simply cause more questions about your seriousness to be a professional Affiliate Marketer?

Staying with this same scenario of a campaign, I would like to address writing and informing readers and how that caused problems in the 2016 presidential campaign, again, without talking politics, in the next post, either tomorrow or the next day....

How much politics was the Actor Ronald Reagan in? I couldn't believe an actor got to be president. A business man yes but an actor? Next stop the local plumber wins the presidency. We needs our pipes fixed.

As you might remember, he was governor of California for a while (longer than Obama was involved in politics before...)and President of the Screen Actor's Guild, which is nothing other than politics.

Thanks for the reminder, I did forget about that.

Don't know much about this.Yet, pretty interesting!

Let the festivities begin!!!!!

According to MANY, it is on!

The media highly underestimated the Trump campaign. And now a reality tv star will be our president. This goes to show we NEED to move with the times.

Josephine, you read (part of ) my mind. That is essentially what is going to be in part Deux!

I enjoyed the post and found it very practical. Its sad, but you are right about the group that does the least number of stupid things.

Psychologists and behavioralists will be studying the pluralistic ignorance of the recent political campaigns for years.

That IS pretty deep, but you are very right, my friend.

The lessons that can be learned and applied to many things are there for the taking. (let's hope many of them are learned in D.C.!)

Fascinating, Mickey. I´m looking forward to part 2 already.

Stay tuned....

Am!
