Administrative duties on our Websites.
Recently, I came across an individual here on WA that had a lot of errors on their website that they hadn't gotten around to fixing. They weren't getting traffic on their website and nor where they ranked in google either. As website developers here on WA, we have to keep our webpages clean of all known errors like back links, approving comments, updating plug-ins and going onto google search console and bing webmaster tools to check on any errors that might occur in indexing and sitemap submissions. Fix any errors that they give you as well. You need to check for these errors constantly as they will crop up a lot. ALSO, Bing has a free plugin to KEEP YOUR SITEMAPS CURRENT. YOU CAN DO THIS BY MAKING REVISIONS ON YOUR POSTS/PAGES. EVERYTIME YOU MAKE AN UPDATE. THE CORRESPONDING POST/PAGE WILL GET UPDATED IN YOUR SITEMAP AS WELL! One should have the back link checker (free plug in) installed in Word Press. This will check on errors that occur involving any back links on your website. A MUST HAVE! So down load the plug-in and activate it asap. It is good to run a site audit occasionally if one is writting content. Yoast SEO free plug is great to have installed and do connect it with google search console.

So true! It's hard to build trust with visitors if our site is not kept up. Thanks for the information and for the plugin advice. :)
