Visiting the Past
On my way to Brisbane to catch my flight to Sth America on Sunday, I decided to spend a couple of days around the Sunshine Coast, an area I lived in before moving to Mackay about 10 years ago.
The coast has two areas of population. The coast which is quite suburban with highrise, and the hinterland, where a series of small villages were built along the railway line so farmers could get their produce to market.
These days the farms have largely gone, replaced with housing on small acreages. One of the small villages I lived, was a place called Eudlo, where I had built a house after selling one in another town about 5 klms away.
All of these small towns are not too far from the beaches of Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, and further north is Noosa. So living in the hinterland and being not to far from surfing or fishing was not too bad a lifestyle.
Also, many people from the beaches travel to the hinterland towns each day to catch a train to their work in Brisbane.
The other day I Chanced upon a antique Oldsmobile in Mackay, complete with original air conditioning ( a hinged windscreen).
One of the first places I visit when I come down to the sunny coast (although it was not very sunny this day), are the villages of Palmwoods and Eudlo. where I visit some old friends and also stay with a friend of mine.
Pulling into a park in front of the Eudlo General Store, (for a coffee), I managed to park next to the store owners '36 Chevy.
All tastefully finished.
The store owner knows the history on how many of these cars found their way to Australia. Most he said, came from Canada and sent out here in packs which were then assembled in Australia. He is a genuine enthusiast of historical vehicles.
Showing him some photos of the Oldsmobile, he said the grill was not original. So although these cars may look great, there are things to be aware of if you are considering buying one.
What does this have to with wealthy affiliate?
A lot actually. Travel and general interest are genre's I struggle with, so writing about something your not very good at is a great exercise.

I would love to have that woody van. It evokes a mental image of the Beach Boys singing about a woody California surf vehicle. If it's kept near salt water I wonder how the keep the wood looking so good.
It lives about 20klms from the beach Neil. You can use two pac resins and UV resistant varnishes that will keep them looking good.

Michael, Thanks for sharing with us. All the best to you. Keep up the great work. Fitzgerald
Something about those solid metal vehicles JB. Mine looks good, but most of it is plastic.
