Last week I was still in travel mode. Back from South America and stopped at a mates place for a couple of day's, even helped pour a bit of concrete, sort of get my bones moving after struggling with boredom sitting in aeroplanes and wandering around airports waiting for flights.

Time to get back to my place and so into my car for a 800klm (thereabouts) trip home. Once I would have tried to break records 800ks, 8 hrs, maybe less. What speed would I have to average to maintain 100ks and hour considering there are numerous small towns along the route with 60 and 50 k an hour limits through their towns.

Plus there are the stops for coffee and food. 120? 130? hmmm no... speed cameras? . So with cruise control set at 108k or 115 in the 110 zones two coffee stops, one meal stop. It took me a bit over 11 hours. These days I have no trouble living with that, the best part, I didn't have to part with any money to the government.

Which was a bonus as the dollars were running on empty. next morning a phone call from my project manager. They must have been spying on me, checking what flights I was on, once they called me about 20 minutes after I landed in Sydney.

As usual there is a problem. "Mick, where is my car?". Nearly 5 weeks and he doesn't know where his car is. "I have no idea, it is not in my yard, I thought you would be up here to get it while I was away. Why not give Snooksy or Sandy a call"

And of course the bad news, well not really that bad. The next stage of the job I was running before my adventure O/Seas has been pushed back because the principal doesn't want to go through the weather problems we had earlier in job. (Which cost them a fortune), and 3 jobs are close to finished and the other 2 jobs are fully manned.

Such is life. a couple of months to do my own thing. Time for some breakfast, over to the take away on the corner, A big hug and cuddle from the owner, "What did you get me" I gave her a earring and necklace set made of wood by some Indian up in the backblocks of Colombia. It cost me about 5 pesos, She was ecstatic.

Coffee and toastie in hand and walk back home. Time to list what I am grateful for today. Waking up in my own bed, and still walking on the topside. That is top of the list. What plans do I have for today?.

hmm,,. Yard needs a clean up, trees need pruning.car needs a wash, house needs a clean, clothes need washing, lets start there. Blog posts. tsk, I have been slack, only one post during the time I was away. Got to do something about that.

Plenty of time on my hands now, throw the clothes into the washing machine, turn the computer on, check emails, go and mow the lawn, prune the trees next week. My sister once told me I don't prune trees. I mutilate them.

I can't be very good at it because she asked me to trim a tree in her yard once. I was about half way through it and I noticed her watching me from the corner of her house. The blood had drained from her face, her eyes were like saucers and her hands were shaking. It looked like she was trying to tell me something, finally she said " Nooo. Noo thats enough..."

Lawn done, washing on the line, emails read and deleted, water, I need a drink of water and some lunch . Start a new blog post on WA.So much to write about ,descions, descions. Headline?? Self Motivation Techniques, looks good I will go with that.
