I'm wondering if anyone has been experiencing a slow sales period during this month (September2017), especially Amazon affiliates?
It's a tech niche. The products can be purchased all year around and not specific to any season or period of the year.
The slow sales are probbaly related to traffic coming to your site, less traffic - less sales.
The weird thing is that traffic has increased since last month but sales are slower. I'm not sure what's going wrong here.
If that's the case and you have not done anything different other then increase your traffic then it must just be a slow time (month) -

I've been having an issue lately specifically in my last 2 posts. It looks like Google is ranking the tag instead of the post itself. What could be the issue? I read somewhere
It might be that the content of your site is being covered quite a lot elsewhere but its not a bad thing to be ranked with your Tags, don't knock it but see if your content could do with an overhaul.

I'm sure that's not the case. I'm targeting low hanging keywords and very few websites are talking about the same subject. Even these tags are not ranking well, with positions over 100. It's really frustrating to see these long posts with low competition keywords not ranking at all.
If you have a pretty tight niche then perhaps it would be worth your while to try a small PPC campaign.
That way the visitors to your site would be potential buyers and not just regular visitors browsing the net who have landed on your site because of those tags.
