Hello, your chosen career path is that. Your Dad is trying to convince you to sharpen your skills in readiness for business, I think that is what he was trying to put across.
The training here will help you cover much about online business, you can learn slowly by slowly, there are a lot more to know about business.

Hi guys, I got a situation! Sometimes before I start working, I feel I don't want to do work and I feel guilty about it. Is this normal or abnormal and how can I solve it?
The biggest motivator is MONEY! You need to set goals for yourself. Start with short term goals like finishing a certain amount of training within a certain amount of time. This will help to keep you on track and if you fall away you can always come back to point where you left off.
If you do this then some time down the road, all of a sudden a sale will show up out of no where. This sale will feel like all of the work that you have put into your business has finally paid off. Unfortunately this is not true though. This sale will only serve to give you more motivation for a period of time. You are going to have to continue working to get more sales.
I Love this business because the payoff is tremendous. When you reach your final goal you will be generating sales every day that will provide enough income for you to live off. You will be making more money and working less hours, and at some point you won't have to work at all anymore.
I have been here at WA for over 2 years now and still haven't reached my final goal but there is enough evidence in the return on the work I have done to keep me on track for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
There isn't any daught at all anymore that this works. I have seen the outcome over and over again. From here all I have to do is scale up my business and you will learn all about that in the training if you stay on track.
The only people that fail at this are the ones that quit!

Just ask yourself, 'how much do I want this?' If you want it enough, you will dig deep to find (or renew) your motivation :)

this is normal. Take a break and rest your brain. When you return with a rested brain you will be much more effective.
Hi Michael, you've got some great suggestions here, but there is also this warning in here, when it feels like your brain want to shut down, it tells you that you need to take a break. Stop thinking. Do Something else for 15 minutes. Take deep, slow breaths. Imagine yourself at your goal. Imagine - not think. Make that picture clear in your head, add your loved ones in the picture. When you see it, you will smile because you know you're on your way. Now you probably have the solution to what made your problem. Problems are tiring and needs to be solved. Solve it and smile.

I agree completely with Steve. Is it an 'accountability' partner you're looking for? Someone who can say 'Hey Michael, c'mon, you need to get on this'? Use this community - every day you will see posts offering motivation and inspiration :)
I believe Steve and you are correct. I just feel lonely and lost my motivation. I guess WA does help me :)

You are in business, therefore you must do what is important for you and your business.
By joining the WA community you have "bought" into a wonderfully knowledgeable and sharing community, in which there are many people with sufficient knowledge and motivational skills to assist you.
And that is wonderful.
There is also the one-off type mentor which is what I believe you are looking for and if that is what you want then great.
Just remember this though, one person cannot know as much as a community, cannot point out a significant variety of solutions, nor can that one person provide you with differing opinions. That one person can deliver on the "personal touch" side of the equation which is just as important!
So use your mentor wisely, ALSO use the community wisely because it is difficult to be successful by "putting all of your eggs in one basket".
WA community is your partner. Get involved and you will get motivated. At least I feel it like that
