Why does site content say I only have 3 articles published (one of which is indexed by Google)??

I have loads or articles published on my site! I don't get it. Am I doing

i don't think is your fault, though i have never experience it, maybe you need to repost it an approve it

I see you only joined WA in April which likely means the posts you are referring to were published elsewhere. As Lenke mentions below, only posts written in, and published from, SiteContent will show in SiteContent.
Also, you may be aware that after publishing a post in SiteContent, any subsequent edits have to be done in WordPress Editor. You may not know that any such edits will not carry back to the original version of the post in SiteContent.
Colette and Philip

Hi Colette and Philip, thank you for your time.

I've been writing my content directly into wordpress. Is this going to be a problem moving forwards?

Does writing my content in wordpress affect my google rankings?
(perhaps WA is "in" with Google? :p )

Thanks again!

You are welcome.
Where you write is of no concern to Google. We began writing in SiteContent but soon switched to WordPress Editor where we have remained ever since.
Writing in WordPress means you won't get email notifications that your posts have been indexed as you would (most of the time) if you were writing in SiteContent. Those emails actually come from WA, not Google.

Can you add a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Thanks for your attention sameling. It seems Lenka must be on to something, as he has asked me if Im writing my content through "site content" or directly with wordpress.

I have been using wordpress.

Now Im wondering if this was a mistake, and if this will affect me getting ranked by Google...

Good question. I don't think so, but I am fairly new to WA so I can't answer for sure.

Did you publish all articles what you have on your website through site content or did you go straight to your wordpress dashboard and publish from there?

Hi Lenka,

Thank you for your kind attention.

Indeed I have been creating content directly in wordpress "Posts" => "New" etc.

Does this affect my articles getting ranked in Google??

Not at all, Michael. It doesn't matter whether you publish through site content or directly in wordpress.
I personally use site content for publishing because I can see the total words written so far, otherwise I wouldn't know.
For Google, it doesn't matter how you publish it (as long as you really have published them). Good choice of keywords and regular posting are what matters most.
Do you have Google Search Console installed / connected to your website?

@LenkaSophie thanks again...
Yes my many posts are definitely published :)

As for Google Search Console, it rings a bell, but please forgive me...a month ago I didnt know the 1st thing about creating a website. I've been bombarded with information. Im very pleased with my progress so far, but some things Im sure are still eluding me.
Is Google search console a plugin?

Google Search Console shows you what keywords you rank for and you can add every new article there (copying the url), that way it is fetched by Google earlier.
Here's Kyle's training how to set it up:

The site content feature here is just a "help" for us because it offers grammar check and other things, but it's not necessary to publish through site content.
People who are not WA members but have their own websites hosted elsewhere publish directly in wordpress and it doesn't affect their ranking or indexing. At all.

My personal coach is Kyle. Does this mean that I joined WA directly, not through a referral link/code?

So will I be the personal coach of each of my referrals?

hey hi Michael .... excellent question and all questions are good ones here ...

it looks like you've got a good discussion thread happening as the awesome WA community of members have jumped in to assist you with varying replies for you ...

if you've had a chance to go through the Affiliate Bootcamp, super! ... if not as yet, then, it would be helpful training for you ...

and yes, you've got some good thinking there ...

thanks for posting ... all the best & keep well .... :)

If your Personal Coach is Kyle, in the top left of the pages here, that might not mean you were referred directly. To confirm, click on Help Centre, bottom of the left-hand menu. You should see 2 or 3 Premium Coaches. If it’s only two, Kyle & Carson, then you were referred directly, if there’s 3, then the 3rd person is who referred you to WA and is your Coach.

Yes, but they still get those emails from Kyle too.

You can setup or adjust your automatic notices here:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/share/messages

Thanks Merlyn!

But Im tempted to ask then, if Kyle does all that "keeping in touch" work with my clients, offering help and notifications about premium etc, why would I bother to set up my own automated emails to my referrals??

Thanks again!

You do it to add extra value to your referrals and to encourage them to remain Premium, seeing as you’re earning about 50% commission. If you don’t help your referrals, they’ll be less likely to remain a member at WA

Thanks Christofer. Im actually looking at it from the angle of my affiliates getting too many emails.

But your point is a valid one!

Thanks again!
