I want to know if I can join Amazon Affiliate if my website is about promoting Wealthy Affiliate. Also, what do they required before they approve your affiliate, do they need yo

No reason why you can't get approved by Amazon. Like Upsgirl said, many of us had very little, if any content when we were approved by Amazon.

Yes you can!

Yes...perfect!
Get approved, first. We can help get your Banners in the Sidebar.
Some of us didn't have any content and we were approved. Some have other issues. Just Publish what you have.

Fingers crossed for you! You're welcome! Hey, let me know...okay?!

Thank you upsgirl, you are a great help and I really appreciate it. I will do that today, hope I don't get rejected. cheers. Maria

I want to put image or photo to show with my post summary because my blog post summary looks boring without any photos showing. It is only showing the text of my first paragraph

Just click on the "Featured Image" link in the bottom right-side menu under Tags within the WordPress editor. Featured Image is how you set up your images for your home page blog roll posts.

Thank you, Robert, I love it when I get answers with my question here at WA community, makes things easier and faster. Always appreciate WA helps, Thank you guys!!! ;-)

You are welcome Maria.

To add images you simply click on the media link on the top left above where you edit your page in the Cpanel of WordPress and select upload from your computer. Select left, center or right having clicked your mouse where you want it to appear. Make sure your image has had it's file size reduced using a free downloadable software such as "Irfanview" whic we use.

Most digital images are very large file sizes typically several MBites which are far too large and will make your site very slow to upload when other people click to see it so using Irfanview open the image in Irfanview, select resize and reduce the file size to around 300 KBites and save it in the same file on your computer adding smaller to the end of its description so that when you upload the smaller file size image it won't slow down the time it takes your site to upload when someone else goes there. Don't forget to save your edited page.

Do this for all large file size images you intend to use.

Warning! Irfanview sometimes comes with an additional unwanted adware file which you should not also download otherwise you will need to remove it with another free download called "Should I Remove It" which getsrid of that in a jiffy. This adware isn't dangerous but can slow down your PC so avoid downloading it or use Should I Remove It to get rid of it.

Hope this helps you?

Stephen & Jennifer.

Thank you so much guys for your help. Yes, it does help. Any tips and advice are great help to me and to anyone needing a bit of help. ;-)Maria

You need to set up the featured image for each post. In the post editor, scroll down and on the right hand side you will see a section labeled featured image. Upload your image (usually an image from your post) and update the post.

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it. Got image for my post, is it always on the left side? i would prefer it on the right side but its ok. Thanks again. :-) Maria

This is called a featured image, although this training mentions facebook, the same principles apply:)

Hi Kathy, Thank you for your help, really appreciate it. ;-) Maria.

Glad you got it sorted. :)

You might be able to find an option in your theme settings.

In your WordPress dashboard you should look for your theme settings either under "Appearance" or "Settings".

Every theme is different but I might be able to help you further if you find your theme settings!

Thanks for your help. Maria

This may depend on the theme, but try add featured image when you are in editor. You will see this on the right side below.

Thank you for your help. Maria.

My stats shows total number on clicks raw, clicks unique and click contents. I don't know what it means, can someone explain it to me please. Thanks.

When you say that clicks (content) is when someone clicks on content you have published on WA, does that refer to your profile? That's the only thing I've published on WA.

Clicks mean someone has visited WA under your affiliate link. Every visit is a click.

I see. So just going to the homepage but not doing anything would count as content clicks. Right?

correct :)

Thanks.

But what does Clicks (content) mean?

Some training available here:

Clicks and content are two different things.
Clicks are actual impressions...with the left side of your mouse.
Content is the actual information...reviews, tutorials, and suggestions, for example.

Actually, on the stats page, Clicks (content) is a thing.

Charlie

Thanks.

The answer is: "Clicks from search engines on content you created at Wealthy Affiliate."

A lot of the information about how WA works isn't all that easy to find. It's easy to find multiple versions of the same question, and for this one, I did, but it's not always easy to find posted answers.

Charlie

That isn't the answer. Maybe you should have asked a different question. That's a partial answer to something else.
But if you're good, great!
You're welcome!

Try asking good questions...lol!

No, it is 2 different things.

I'm confused. Why should I have asked a different question? I needed the answer to the one I posted:

"But what does Clicks (content) mean?"

Clicks (content) appears on the affiliate program stats page. I wanted to know what it signifies. I searched and didn't find an answer, so I asked here.

alleo's response led me to the answer.

Clicks (content) is really a thing, and what it means, quoted directly from the page, is "Raw clicks from search engines on content you published at WA."

Image attached. All good.

Charlie

No, there are 2 things. It refers to clicks per your content. Clicks are tracked for different things. Content is one of them! But good...you're good then!

Yes, like I said...clicks is the thing and content is in parenthesis...That's one way to track your clicks - by looking at content on your website.

I believe that they are clicks on the content that you have either created or shared.

A Unique Click is a unique person (or IP address) that visits your link and is only counted as a click...once.

A Raw Click tabulates every time someone clicks a link, including the same person, so in essence, the same person could click the same link 5 times and that would count as 5 raw clicks and 1 unique click.

Thank you very much upsgirl, Now I can check how many people visit or click on my website. What about if I check my website myself, is that mean I had to take 1 because I do not count? Cheers : )

Yes, YOU COUNT but it's just 1...lol! You're welcome!

lol!!

Copy that!

I was wondering that myself. I thought I counted, but I'm glad I at least only count once.

Thanks upsgirl for this explanation. I can't understand how I can have 30 clicks in content, but zero clicks in raw and unique? Should I have at least 1 unique click if I have clicks in content?

Most of your clicks are from WA...probably...just a guess.

Oh okay. Thanks.

I am trying to include some image or photos for my site but not sure where to get a legal free to download and use photos for my website. thanks.

iStockphoto is a site that I've used

Thank you for your help, I will try that. :)

This training tells you how to find 100% free images from Google Images, how to resize images so they are not too big for your website, and it gives you 12 links to CC0 License images, which are the only type of images that are 100% free to use with no attribution. The 4 links on the last page of the training are the best of the 12.

Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it. Cheers!

Wonderful help, thank you very much.

MorgueFile free photos.......great.

Hi, thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it. Cheers!

Hey :) Try pixabay.com they are awesome because their free pics are CCO so you don't have to find all the info to credit the photographer. Also Kyle has some good recommendations as well. If you search it in the search bar. Let me know if I can help with anything else :)

Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it. :)

This video should explain it all for you.

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate. :)

I put a WA link/banner on each of my post and page, including About Me, Is that too much or a bad idea and should take it off? Thanks.

Hi, I always keep link banners at the sidebar. I feel that pages and posts are own content, and sometimes banners interferes, depending on the banners dimensions width and height too.Or maybe no problem adding at the end of the page that sells a big idea like a product. What do you think, MGalligon
