"If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him." Hippocrates

Your mind and body are linked, which can't be seen, but only felt. Your body reflects your emotional and psychological states. A positive mental attitude and powerful immune system will be the result of a healthy spiritual, physical and emotional states. It is only when we ignore our bodies that illness is able to take control of our own bodies natural defense.

Think of the time when your heart was racing with anticipation or fright, or that feeling in your stomach-its a result of the thoughts and emotions transferring to the physical body.

If you maintain a negative attitude, that invariably attracts negative vibrations and feelings-which disrupts your body's natural energy flow. According to David Suzuki in "The Sacred Life", condensed molecules from breath exhaled from verbal expressions of anger, hatred, and jealousy, contain toxins. Accumulated over 1 hour, these toxins are enough to kill 80 guinea pigs! Imagine the harm negative behavior does to your body?

When you become aware of your health problem, you can use the power of your mind and heart to heal the body. There are several ways to achieve that like Yoga, Meditation, Earthing, Creative Visualization, or Relaxation to name a few. The power is in your mind and never forget your Thoughts have tremendous power!

Here's an excerpt from the book, "Heal Your Body" by Louise L. Hayes; that I highly recommend. It shows the physical symptoms that are related to a prevailing mental or emotional state:

Problem Problem Cause

Abdominal Cramps Fear. Stopping the process. Refusal to flow with experiences

* Trust the process of life. I am safe.

Abscess Fermenting thoughts over hurts, slights and revenge.

* Release the pattern in me that created this. I am at peace. I am worthwhile.

Aches Longing for love. Longing to be held.

* I love myself and approve of myself. I am loving and lovable. ( I suffered with aches and pain and now I don't have aches anymore.)

Addictions Running from the self. Fear. Not knowing how to love the self.

* I now discover how wonderful I am. I choose to love and enjoy myself.

Aging Problems Social beliefs. Old thinking. Fear of being one's self. Rejection of the now.

* I love and accept myself at every age. Each moment in life is perfect.

Aids Denial of the self. Sexual guilt. A strong belief in not being "Good enough".

* I am a Divine, magnificent expression of life. I rejoice in my sexuality. I rejoice in all that I am. I love myself.

Alcoholism What's the use! Feeling of futility, guilt, inadequacy. Self rejection.

* I live in the now. Each moment is new. I choose to see my self worth, I love myself.

Alzheimer's Disease A desire to leave the planet. The inability to face life as it is.

* Everything happens in the right time, space, sequence. Divine right action is taking place all the time.

This is just a few of the conditions listed. If you are interested in the whole list, look up the book by Louise L. Hay-"Heal Your Body".

Imagine the power of your thoughts, when you are feeling some kind of pain, that can be aggravated or alleviated by your mind. If you think "I am in too much pain,", then you are going to be in pain, whereas if you think the opposite, it begins to subside. (Try it out)

Notice how Louise Hay uses the powerful words "I AM" in most of the affirmations to change the course of a condition or disease. Think about it!

Great information and so much of it, I have learned the hard way.

I did too, that's why I want to share what I learned over a 30 year period so I can help others find answers faster. Thanks for the follow.

In the 'old days', if someone said that a situation was 'mind over matter', they were inferring that you were imagining it. These days, we understand that saying as being so true.

You're so right. Even know my family and friends doesn't understand my beliefs, that's why I love blogging to everyone of like minds and those who are open to new experiences. Thanks for the follow.

Great affirmations - thanks Marian.

You''re welcome. I love your Google site. It's beautiful. Have a great day.

Thanks for the tip Marian. Because of the good old Kindle I'm able to hook into the 67th edition of this book instantly. The preface is powerful.

Yes it is. One of my follows suggested a book called "Your Body Speaks Your Mind" by Deb Shapiro. Thanks for the follow. Have a great day.

Hmmmm, I was just going to ask you if you read her book. My copy is so old, it's falling apart. There's another one called "Your Body Speaks Your Mind" by Deb Shapiro that is good too.

I never read that book. I will look for it. Thanks. That's why I love writing blogs, because I learn a lot from the people who follow me. Have a great day!

Hi Marian . Great post .
I am saying to myself every night and day something wonderful is going to happen to-day .
Every day from I started to say that something good has happened.
That is a positive mental thinking which I like.

That's so true. I also made a Vision Board of things I want to have in my life and I look at it a lot every day because it's on the wall over my desk. Very powerful!

Thanks for sharing

Isn't that the truth I've been there done that seen that felt that and came back from that. Still fighting that every day. Nicely put together blog good advice. Thank you for sharing your insite into life and the body. The mind is a powerful thing that can control the way we react to everything that happens to us.

I had a hard life when I was in my 30s and 40s and I kept getting sick. When I started my spiritual quest for answers that would help me understand why so many negative things were happening to me I came across some books about the body-mind connection I started applying their recommendations and my life started turning around; so I know it works. Thanks for the follow.

This is deep. Its amazing how the various ills have been rightly connected to how we feel or see ourselves.

I will check out the book you mentioned:
