The 6th Sense Leads To Awakening
Many eastern philosophies and westerners for that matter, believe the pursuit of paranormal powers is a waste of time. They think that psychic abilities are meaningless or, in some cases a negative ego-filled pursuit. Others have gone so far as to say that experiencing paranormal events is a dead-end that holds no merit. When I hear such nonsense, I almost need to hit myself in the head with a board just to make sure I really heard correctly! How can anyone, seriously pursuing that state of enlightenment, suggest such a thing?
Every account of a truly enlightened teacher, tie their awakening with the manifestation of paranormal effects.
There are stories about these beings walking on water, healing the sick, seeing the future, levitating. journeying to worlds of Light and many other such descriptions, the list is long. Yet, many schools of thought still brush paranormal abilities aside as a waste of time or something that distracts a Sleeper from awakening.
Awakening to a higher state of consciousness directly relates to the emergence of paranormal abilities.
I started to think about why there is such a strong negative fixation on this matter and came to some interesting conclusions. Consider the general intelligence, concerns and fears of an average person in ancient times. The Mystery schools, Holy shrines or Temples were as financially dependent on the general populace then as they are now. If they were not dependent directly on the people, they were also sensitive to the concerns and fears of those people. People often fear things that they do not understand.
Every spiritual organization has secret teachings or doctrines. These very secret doctrines often hold the keys to the pursuit of paranormal experiences and abilities!
Our 6th sense is missing, lost through evolution. We have 5 senses that interpret sound, taste, touch, smell and sight but without the 6th sense that interprets the paranormal, we lack the ability to be complete. Spiritual seekers often sit and meditate on nothing, hoping that at some random moment, they will suddenly awaken. A seeker is not actively pursuing awakening by taking this path, with no direction. They are attempting to stumble upon the path of enlightenment by shedding the 5 senses.
Consider this, if by chance a person does experience an awakening by this method, will it not be a paranormal event when it happens? What is more, if that moment arrives, what sense will they use to experience and interpret the data they are receiving? If your consciousness shifts closer to the tonal of the Force (energy), will you be able to touch it, smell it, taste it, see it or hear it? No. Only your 6th sense will be able to convey the experience.
The seeker must shed the 5 familiar senses leaving only the 6th sense as a guide.
In the end, the 6th sense delivers awakening and completes us. The 5 familiar senses receive and deliver data from our immediate dimension. How are these 5 senses, which are designed to interpret this dimension, going to help once we remove ourselves from our physical bodies? Don't freak out! We need that last sense which works more as a sensory of frequency and vibration to take the experiences we gain from these dimensional moments and bring them down into our physical body. The function of the 6th sense is to interpret other dimensions.It allows us to experience other dimensions, just as the other senses allow us to experience this dimension.
You should stop and think about what I just said for a moment. This concept is so important that I am going to repeat it for you. The 6th sense allows us to experience other dimensions in the same way that our current senses allow us to experience this one. If it has not hit you yet, let us consider something for a moment. How different do you think you would view life or this reality if you could not touch?
Imagine living your life able to see and hear objects around you, but lack the ability to touch them. You could not feel the wind on your face, the caress of a loved one. or the chair you are sitting on! Would it be incredible if all of a sudden you could start feeling, after a lifetime of going without?
This is what it is like to use the 6th sense.
Meditation, knowledge and mantras all fail in the end without an active 6th sense. The bridge that connects our mind to our hyper-dimensional consciousness is the 6th sense.

The capacity the mind has is quite beyond comprehension for some, and when we get fixed idea's we block the possibilities out, what ever we choose to call 6th sense it happens some times with clarity and sometimes its a fleeting moment, I have had moments where I felt to avoid routes or situations and I am glad I listened as on more than one occasion I have avoided serious accidents and was on hand to help my friend when she suffered a major stroke, we need to trust ourselves a bit more.. look forward to next episode

I was wondering if what you call the sixth sense is something that I have experienced with my Fencing. I have been able to actually take my self out side my body and be able to see my opponents moves in defense. It takes time to learn it, but I have experienced it, and it was really something. I know martial arts they can do this. My Husband was a master in Kong fu, from mainlyn China. He would never talk about it, but I am sure he has experienced the 6th sence.
You are having out-of-body experiences, where you have learned how to separate your physical body from your spiritual body. WoW, that is great! That's one aspect of the 6th sense. We can develop other aspects of the 6th sense like Clairvoyant (seeing non-physical realities or dimensions. Clairaudient (hearing events occurring at at long distance, in the physical world and events occurring in non-physical dimensions and Clairsensitive (feeling surrounding energies and non-physical consciousness; to name a few.

Thank you Marian for your comment. I have had other experiences as well in my life. I do know it has allot to do with concentration and one's faith too. Perhaps a persons past life's as you have said in one of your articles. You would know more of that I think then I do. It is funny sometimes I just do it and not really knowing what I am doing. Lol !
