Short But Sweet - Made Ambassador Status for a Little While
Damn, I lost my Ambassador status...
One of my goals last year was to hit Ambassador status by the end of the year. I came close, but didn't actually obtain it until January 8th, 2019. I managed to hold onto it 2 months and 2 days before losing the status today. I have to admit, I'm a little sad that I couldn't hold onto it longer.
Although I love being an ambassador, I find dedicating my time to holding that position is detrimental to my own sites. I love to help and will continue to do so but my sites will get the majority of my attention. I may hit ambassador again, but it's no longer a goal of mine.
For those actively seeking to climb the ranking ladder here at WA, don't let me discourage you. It's fun, shows you help the community and gives you a little bit of street cred with that Ambassador tag and trophy icon. Just be sure it's what you want as it can take up a lot of your time writing WA blog posts, helping out in chat, creating trainings and so on.
You'll still see me here daily, just not quite as much. I will be diverting some of my face tie here in Live Chat to my site development.
Please feel free to reach out any time. I'll be happy to help where I can.
And now for the call to action.... Don't forget to click the like button below and leave me a comment. What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Scott

Scott,
I will echo others... You will always be an Ambassador.
You bring so much to the community, that I am in awe on a daily basis.
So THANK YOU!!

Hi Scott,
In my eyes, you are STILL an ambassador. You have helped me tremendously in my short tenure here.
I am starting to understand the ranking element and the "pay-it-forward" strategy and it does consume all lot of time.
Thanks for sharing!
All the Very Best on your site development.
Paul :)
Title or no title, you're a help to your network. Contributing is awesome, as it helps yourself and the community learn & grow, but it should not be at the detriment of your personal goals & success. Find your balance. Site building is why we are all here! Build away!
I agree. Especially in the beginning, because you're learning in the process. But if it's too hard to dim that switch, you gotta just turn it off! Turn it back on when you're ready to share some progress, & we'll all be here to share in your success post! :-)
No worries, Scott! Like what they have mentioned, you are still an ambassador helping out so much in the community! Thank you for your help too!
I believe you will be back very soon! 👍👍👍😉
Thanks man. I expect I'll end up popping on and off the list randomly. It just no longer a primary focus for me.
I'll still be around to help.
Scott
Congrats on being an Ambassador...although it was for shorter than you had hoped.
Luckily for me, I started within your Ambassador window. I appreciate all of the help you have given me on Live Chat and your willingness to help others.
For me, you will still be an Ambassador I trust. If I don't see you on chat, expect a message :)
Thanks
Nate
Scott, you are so appreciated by us and many others. You are always so helpful!
Keep working on your sites. Ultimately, this is the most important thing.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanks...Actually it's been a really nice weekend. Well, except for losing an hour to our whole daylight savings thing.
We actually passed a resolution to allow us to dissolve it but the resolution just allows us to...it doesn't actually get rid of it so I guess we need another vote to actually do it LOL.
I have to agree with Twack once an ‘Ambassador, always an Ambassador’!
That use to be one of my goals but I so agree with you that it takes time away from building my business.
With working full time I have postponed that goal for when I can retire from my other job.
I will continue to drop in and help when I can... see you sporadically in the forum.
You are one of the few people here that I really believe should be an ambassador. Stay focused on your sites, they are more important.

I'm the same. I made Ambassador a few times over the years. It's difficult to maintain along with other commitments. Take heart. People who are great at helping others out are usually known to the rest of us! ;) Alanna
Thanks
