Newbie (and not-so-newbie) Tips - There's Something for Everyone Here
Newbie Tips
This isn't a traditional post from me but rather a jump-off point to various helpful posts of mine and others that I think will help many out there, new and seasoned. I'll try to group them as best I can but do yourself a favor and check them out. You're bound to find something useful...
Tour and Access
WA is a great platform. That said, it has a lot to offer and finding everything and knowing what you do and don't have access to can be a daunting task. Here's two posts to help you out with that...
Loes does a great job explaining what a free Starter member can see and do vs a Premium member:
Marion Black provides a great tour of the WA platform and includes some helpful tips along the way:

There are direct and indirect ways to make money on the WA platform. Here are a few that you might find interesting...

You can also earn a little by becoming a Certified Commentor using the newish SiteComments 2.0 tool. Check out Carson's post:

Site Content and Tools
There are a lot of resources available to you when it comes to publishing your website and associated posts and pages. That said, there's still a lot out there that you may not be aware of. Here are a few options to check out...
I'm constantly seeing people ask about finding free images to use for their sites. In this post I provide five great sources that you can use:

People are always asking for feedback and comments on their sites (many times, it's because they lack the credits to use the SiteComment and SiteFeedback tools). Here's a post from Kyle, introducing the Give and Take Comment Thread:
Now this one is specific to those that are Amazon Associates. Did you know that Amazon has a tool to redirect visitors from other regions to the appropriate item on the Amazon site that services their area? Check out my post on OneLink for more information:

Blogging is all about engaging your visitors and getting a dialog going to build trust and authority. I wrote a post, introducing a plugin you can install that will let your visitors know when you approve and reply to their comments:

Miscellaneous Hints and Tips
OK, I had a hard time creating categories for these next tips. They kind-of fall into their own category and I figured I'd just lump them here. You should find at least one of these useful.
From the beginning, we're told content is king. That's true but there's more to it than that. There's a second, almost as important factor and that's consistency. I wrote about it here:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/merlynmac/blog/consistency-is-key
Too many times, we're enticed by add-ons (plugins), features, new themes and so on. Then we get alerts about updates that we need to apply and we're quick to click. Most of the time, there's no harm done, and we go about our business. Sometimes, that's not the case. Consider setting up a test site to save you headache down the road:
From time-to-time, I see people asking about credits and the number of comments they receive. Yes, if you ask for 2 comments, you're going to pay twice the single comment rate but, if you ask for 1 comment and happen to get more than what you asked for, you're not charged more credits for it. Check out my post here about the topic (the comments are more applicable than the article itself):

Email, email, email. People are always asking about setting up email accounts, forwards and so on. I've written several how-to's on this subject and provided video coverage as well. This post is the "master post" that links to all the others I've created regarding email here at WA. Check it out and follow the links that apply to you:
This one is just for the Apple iOS users here. I was going mad when I was in Live Chat any my apostrophes would be randomly changed to odd characters. This post shows you how to fix that issue and maintain your sanity:
Conclusion
I hope you found at least one of these posts useful. If so, be sure to click the like button on them and save them in your favorites list (the little star) so you can refer others to them when you see someone ask about a subject that matches one of the posts listed here.
I wish you all success!
Thanks,
Scott
