Weekly Update and Accountability Report

Well, as some of you may know, my weekly blog post here at WA has turned into a what did I do last week and what's in store this week report...

I've decided to do this, not only to let you know what I'm up to but, to help keep me accountable and not just let things slide. So far, it's worked great and I'm even helping a few others to keep on track (assuming they post their goals in the comments below).

So, How Did I Do Last Week?

Actually not too bad...

I met all of my stated goals except for the one on leaving 30 site comments. I was only able to get 21 in. Apparently either others are rushing in and leaving them before I can or not as many people were asking for comments this week.

Still, I'll chalk it up to a win because I was able to get the rest of it done and I did actively search for comment requests but there simply weren't any much of the time.

What Else Did I Do Last Week?

Well, it was Joe's birthday week. Naturally, I had to plan something to do for it. We ended up taking off in the RV Thursday and headed for wine country and the coast. I took him to his favorite wineries in Anderson Valley and then to Fort Bragg to have dinner at one of his favorite restaurants, Silvers on the Wharf.

It was supposed to be a 3+ day adventure and we were supposed to be home yesterday evening but the fires and PG&E seemed to be working against us. One fire blocked our primary route and another blocked our alternate route.

What made it worse is, because PG&E killed power to virtually all of Northern California, no gas stations anywhere near us were able to pump gas. I'm still not sure why gas stations don't have backup generators... Because of this, we didn't have enough fuel to take a third route which would have been a very long way to go anyway.

So, to finish off a great long weekend, we hit the grocery store, which did have a generator, grabbed food for dinner and a movie to pass the time. Since we had our RV, we were able to cook, had a generator for power and were good to go.

We had a great dinner and relaxed with a movie and when it was over, our primary route had been reopened and we were able to head home. We didn't arrive in the evening however. It ended up being a 3 AM arrival. Still, we made it home and the trip was a lot of fun.

What Are This Week's Goals?

I'd like to quote a line from Pinky and the Brain... "The same thing we do every night, try to take over the world!"

What I mean by this is, the same as last week and the week before. Here they are:

  • Share one WA post on Facebook - Done.
  • Write one post on WA - That's this one here.
  • Pop into Live Chat and help at least 5 people per day (30 for the week). This includes answering unanswered questions.
  • Publish one article per site (a total of two).
  • Research two keywords per site (a total of 4).
  • Leave six site comments per day (a total of 30).
  • Help others to be accountable for their goals - Leave a comment below with your week's goals and I'll follow up with you next week to see how you did.
  • Deal with family issues - This one will be ongoing for at least 6 months.

That's it. I know it doesn't look like much but, with a full-time job and the family thing going on, it's a lot on my plate.

How About You?

Now it's your turn... Leave a comment below with your goals for this week and I'll follow up with you next week to see how you did.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Awesome! I'll check in with you next week.

Now I can´t fail..

Hey man,
I just wanted to follow up. How did you do last week?

The difference from my previous numbers is that I could not do 1 tutorial at least as planned. I will seek to achieve it for the next. We continue ..

Great job! My tasks for the week are as follows.

1. Write minimum 3 articles (one must be a review) for my SAC site
2. Create a list of positive and negative emotion hot buttons for each post
3. Create a segmented pitch page. 2 ideally
4. Start linking existing content to new pitch pages
5. Write minimum 3 posts to my social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest).
6. Help 2 people each day and hop into chat for 15 min a day.
7. Leave at least 4 comments each day.
8. Write 1 WA post.

Catch ya next Monday.

Michael

Sounds good!

It's another week. How did you fare on your goals last week?

Hi Scott,

Pretty well. Got all my articles done, one segmented pitch page (I wanted two, but just had too many other things going on). The only thing I didn't get done was my WA blog post, going to do that today.

I'm going to put a lot of effort into getting ready for Black Friday this week, but still plan on doing my 3 articles, probably 2 reviews and 1 regular article.

How did you do?

Michael

Nice man!

I did OK...fell short on Site Comments again but it wasn't for lack of trying...

Anyway, this week's goals are listed in today's post: Check it out and leave your goals for this week there as I'll follow up again next week from the comments left in that post.
