Not Much Going On At The Moment, Still Here's An Update

Hello everyone and happy Memorial Day!

Although I've been busy, I don't have anything new to really talk about. I've been pushing along in the SAC, organizing and streamlining my workflow, trying to maintain the house and yard, you know, the usual.

SAC

I have to say, this month's SAC course is gold! I never considered compartmentalizing the process. By simply changing how I approach my posts, I am saving a ton of time and effort.

No longer will I research my keyword(s), come up with my title, break down the article into supporting content and then post it, one-at-a-time. Instead, I'll be researching 10 keywords a week (5 for each site). Then I'll come up with a title for each. When I have that done I'll come up with supporting topics for each title.

I'll have the framework ready to go this way and can simply hammer out the content when I'm ready to create the actual post. I figure this approach will have me cutting the time from start to finish from 3 to 4 hours per post to maybe 1 or 1.5 hours. That's a huge savings and I expect that half of that time will be the fine-tuning, adding images and getting it to look just the way I want it to, etc.

I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner...it seems so obvious, LOL.

House and Yard

As for the yard and house, it was clean up the upstairs patio which led to buying new patio furniture. Then it was, clean the downstairs patio. Guess what? That led to buying new patio furniture for that space too.

After that, it was clean the garage. You'll never guess what that led to. No, sadly it wasn't a new car, LOL. Somehow, it actually created more space, even though the cleaning of the upstairs patio had me bringing more stuff to the garage to store.

Cleaning the garage had me pulling out the yard tools and now we're working on the garden and so on. New plants, new watering setup, you know, yard stuff.

I had recently had a new ductless mini-split system installed upstairs and the guys finally came out to finish patching the walls and what not so, today, I finally painted the walls and got that project all cleaned up.

Last on my list is to clean the last 4 outdoor light fixtures that always seem to accumulate bugs and dirt. That will be the end of my holiday weekend. Not what I had planned but at least I got stuff done!

Goals This Week

I hate setting them, but goals help keep me on track. Here's my plans for this week:

  • Continue on my SAC training.
  • Post 4 articles (2 per site).
  • Research 10 more keywords.
  • Come up with 10 more titles.
  • Break down those 10 titles into supporting sub-titles (my headings).
  • Relax.

I consider this a successful week.

What About You?

You know what I did and what my plans are... How about you?

What did you do this weekend?

What are you goals this week?

I'd love to hear about it,

Scott

Maybe not what you planned but nothing better than sitting down after a weekned when you have actually acomplished something.

I've not been around much over the past few weeks so glad stuff is gong well Scott. Im just starting to build out my new site. I chose the theme Avada in the end. It was on offer at $30 as they were celebretaing their 500k sale!

Trouble is it took me 2 days just to get to grips with the basics. I'm not used to working with a page builder but hopefully it will be worth it. Ive completed the first 2 levels of bootcamp and am shadowing the SAC training.

So far 8 posts on my new site but that has been in done in the last 2 weeks. So this week 4 more posts on the new site and 2 on my niche site, well at least thats the plan.

Not sure whether to complete the bootcamp tarining of follow the SAC or both but the next week and May are all about content as I will have 2 quietish weeks in July as I'm back to the UK to visit family

Have a great week and productive Scott and thanks for the post

Kevin

That's great progress.

As for the Bootcamp/SAC dilemma, I suggest completing lesson 1 of the Bootcamp and then following the SAC. That's actually the requirement to do the SAC, completing the first lesson of Bootcamp.

Thanks Scott. I think that is what I will do. I have completed the first 2 levels of bootcamp and level 3 is all about social media which was great for my niche site but at this stage on the new site I think my time would be better spent following the SAC

Have a great week

Kevin

Scott, sounds like it was a productive, expensive, and fun weekend. Here are my responses:
- Framed a slab for my dad (he forgot to invite my brothers). When the rain stops he will get it poured.
- Did more "research" by visiting a couple breweries and posted to social media
- This week I will write up and post about the visits to my website

Cheers!

Nate

Nice!

My goal is to write something on my other 2 websites this week. I could not match my goals, but I will in July since I'll be gone the majority of June.

My next goal is to write a couple more reviews, but I have to figure out what I'm writing about first. What I will do shortly is research to find my next couple of review topics.

Shoot for 5 keywords and then work out your titles. Once you have those, just come up with 4 or 5 supporting sub topics and boom, framework for 5 new posts!

Sweetheart, you guys just don't get it! I can do that if I am writing informational or inspirational posts, but not when I am writing reviews. The reason is, first I have to find the company I am going to review, and sometimes that takes me a couple of tries. Then, I like to use at least part of the company name in the keyword. Sometimes the name itself is a keyword. There is no way I can do those ahead of time.

I will try the coming up with a list of keywords that I could turn into articles, because I do think it is a good idea. But I cannot do it for reviews.

True but could you pick 5 companies or items you're planning to review and then do the basic framework?

My main goal for this week is to finish a book I've written and am now on the proofreading and formatting stage.

Nice!
