I'm Considering Recording An Elementor How-To Training. What Do You Think?
It's Been A While Since I've Done A Training Here on WA...
So, some of you may have taken advantage of some of the trainings I've created in the past. My email ones seems to be liked a lot. That said, It's been some time since I've created one and recent activity has sparked my interest in doing so again.
Just recently I received a notification that I earned a little more money from one of my email trainings and also helped another member with questions regarding Elementor. I figured with me touting the GeneratePress theme and the Elementor page builder, maybe someone would be interested in seeing me recreate my WA promotion homepage using Elementor.
Why Would I Want To See That?
That's a fair question... Not long ago I wrote a post about changing my theme because my mobile load times were atrocious. That's when I built a test site and had Site Support copy my WA promotion site to the test site so I could tweak it and get an apples to apples comparison.
As it turns out, I was able to recreate 95% of my paid for theme with Elementor and even add animation effects my original theme didn't offer. What's even better is the speed difference was night and day!
I've since deleted the test site as I had completed my testing and was satisfied with the results. If you try to go to the test site link in that post, it will fail as the site no longer exists.
So, Would Such a Video/Training Be Of Interest To You?
Is this something that you'd like to see? Better yet, what kind of trainings would you like to see in general? If I'm qualified, I'll be happy to create them.
Other Stuff...
So, as many of you know, I was a slacker the past two weeks and didn't produce much. Tomorrow, I go into surgery (nothing major, just a small hernia) so I'm not sure how I'm going to feel after that procedure. That said, I'm behind and need to get stuff done.
I've upped my site comments daily tasks from three to six comments per day but the rest of my to do list remains the same. Still, I think I have a pretty full plate:
1) One WA blog post per week.
2) Two posts per site per week (total of four).
3) Research 5 keywords per site per week (total of ten).
4) Share one WA post on Facebook per week.
5) Help five people on WA every day.
6) Leave six site comments every day.
7) Work my full-time job :)

Absolutely Yes Scott but could you make it comprehensible to those of use who have the plugin but have never used it and know nothing about it?
I will try. The focus is simply going to be on creating my static home page. If people really like it, I'll branch out to other topics.
I think that a training on Elementor would be great Scott. I know so little about it but would love to learn more.

I just added Elementor to my GeneratePress theme with my new juicing site. Go for it. I am all eyes and ears with new toys.

Had hernia surgery when I was 10. Born with that one. Followed that up 6 weeks later with an emergency appendectomy. Learned to hate doctors and hospitals at an early age. 58 years old now and been to the doctor once in the last 48 years. And that was for a bone spur from throwing too many pitches in my youth.
You know what they call the worst student in American Medical school?
Doctor!

Ack! I've only had 1 surgery in my life for my leg when I was 8. Broke it so bad bones were sticking out.
Please do....I have had issues with Elementor and it may be because I really don't understand it well, so a tutorial would be great!
OK, just to be clear, I'm not doing a full-on tutorial but just an example of how I can recreate my pay-for theme home page with Elementor.
I may do header and footer how-tos at a later date.

I've been using GeneratePress for a while and I've been playing with Elementor on my SAC dev site I have running on my PC. I think GeneratePress and Elementor make a great combo. There's almost no end to what you can do. I'm currently integrating Elementor on my SAC site.
Also, check out the "Anywhere Elementor" plugin for even more functionality.
So, yeah, I think it would be great to get some decent Elementor training here at WA. That way folks can get some good instruction on how to make a really nice looking website.

Hello Scott, This sounds very helpful! I haven't used WA's platform yet (my websites are all registered on a different host and I use wordpress) but I have thought about using the website hosting that comes with the WA premium membership.
Elementor training would benefit many - would be fascinating to see your Elementor remake of your WA promotion site's homepage.
I hope your surgery goes smoothly and that you will have a fast recovery!
