About Memorylaneuk
Joined August 2017
Memory Lane UK began life in 2012 with a lovely 2 floor shop in a small town in Leicestershire. Sadly the shop is no longer our home and while we have always had some online presence it is now time to up our online game and here seems a great place to learn and improve.
Well WA has been a revelation and I have realised that memory lane is okay as is and I have more to offer the internet world.
I really want to help those who think the internet wave has passed them by and encourage them to realise that they can build a website or blog and make money too.
It is never too late to start. There is room and opportunity for everyone online. You are irreplaceable because you are You. Bring your uniqueness and make your own mark.

Hello Karen. Thanks for the follow.

I used to own a shop too, but the landlords don't make it easy, with the rent increasing every year. We had to close our shop.

Now I'm online and online business has never been as attractive as it is currently for me.

I really hope you do well here.. :)

Hi Karen
I found you through a post on comments being disapproved. I clicked through to your profile which I found interesting as you have moved from a shop to online. WA certainly helps those of us who want to create an online presence. Also I live in Staffordshire so if you are in Leicestershire still we are quite close to each other!

Hello Karen ... thank you for the follow. Wow, I'm exhausted from reviewing what you have accomplished so far here at WA. I'm curious. Had you completed the Cert Training and moved on to Bootcamp when Kyle put out his SWAG post in January?

You've accomplished so much. Following your progress in your posts the whole SWAG process seems pretty intense. I'm amazed you have time to put up all the WA posts ... or is that part of the assignment from Kyle?

At this point it really sounds like a Bootcamp. I wished you the best on the rest of your WA journey.

Yes I was well on my way through bootcamp when I joined SWAG and had done the Certification course too. So I knew what I was taking on. I am a bit of a workaholic too and I do thrive under pressure and being accountable.
Too many years in sales and running my own businesses !

Hi Karen, Loved your bio. So true that we are never to old to learn even things like the computer and on line games etc.
My grandson of 20 told me about an interactive game where I can become one of the characters in a book. Can't wait for him to show me how.
Am loving all the teaching on Wealthy Affiliate.

Karen,
I've always wanted to own a little shop and never have, and I miss my little shop that has never been! So I can only imagine that having had one, it would be missed dearly.
I am glad to hear that you are loving the challenge of your new venture! And while you do, hopefully you can cherish your memories of your life that got you where you are today :)
When I was 20, I decided to become a veterinary technician and at the same time purchased (what was supposed to be the first of many to come) rental properties. The plan was to practice as a vet-tech and accumulate rental properties. I earned my degree while my property paid my mortgage, and then...
I never worked an official paid day as a vet-tech and everything in my life has since been finding something I was never looking for in the first place!
Funny how life can work that way...
Take the positive in it all, and run with it, each and every day :)

Karen, I wanted to take a moment and thank you. I appreciate the gracious comment you made today, on a post I won't mention by title. I don't think the rules allow me to mention the subject of that post, but this should give you a clue which one I'm talking about: I live in America.

How lovely to make your acquaintance. I am just outside of Loughborough. Was your husband as excited as we were when they won they premiership against all the odds. One of my sons is an absolute football fan and followed them all around Europe.
It was the best time for him, ever.
I'm glad you like my sign off.
It's something I have done for many years. I don't really like yours faithfully or sincerely and was brought up in a time when we wrote formal letters ... lol
Good luck with your ventures and please keep in touch.

Yes, my husband was very pleased when Leicester won the premiership. He occasionally used to take the children to see Leicester play when they were small. So they too - now grown up - were pleased and 'going down Memorylane' when Leicester did so well.

Thank you for following me and will be following here as well! Encouraging words to enhance your abilities on this platform. I joined in August 2017 and took it a bit slow as I'm still trying to think of a niche to begin. I have many, but want to begin only with 1. Currently working in the WA Affiliate training and will begin to build a site for others to join WA, and hope by that time a quality niche stays with me to grow on. It was nice to learn about your current situation and see your rankings are great too! All the best in your continued journey and appreciate being a part of your network. Carrie

Don't be sorry dear lady.
A lot of members don't bother with 'Liking'.
They are here to learn how to make money and that's as it should be.
If you don't want to bother what wealthy affiliate rank you attain then that is perfectly ok.
Get stuck into the training and if you get stuck then drop me a line or two or ask a questions of the membership.
There will always be someone who can point you in the right direction.
Bye for now.

Hi Karen, just popping in to say HI from sunny Hermanus 2 hours from Cape Town, the Whale watching centre of the world :-)

Love your profile and your amazing attitude. The one really fantastic thing i found out going into remission from cancer is that life is the utmost gift anyone can have and i learnt to be humble, positive, happy, motivated and extremely grateful for all the amazing people in my life and for everything we have been blessed with.

The one very special thing i learned from Dr Wayne Dyer, Mr Motivation, was a challenge he set himself which is very difficult but has transformed my life - Strive to NEVER complain, criticise or judge" but approach every challenge with love and caring.

!
WA has been a revelation with all the amazing people all wanting to support one another and help where p[possible, but i love the friendly atmosphere and the positive atmosphere motivating us all to succeed.
I wish you all the very best with your migration from bricks and mortar to the wondrous world of the internet and affiliate marketing.

Hello Karen,

I was pleasantly surprised reading your profile. Your desire to help others is like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for that. I feel that you'll be successful, for sure.

By the way, the worth of a website fascinates me. I heard of a man getting offers in the thousands for his site, but at that point, the passive income was so good, why sell such a good thing?

Welcome to WA - lots to learn here- stay focused - go through the Certification Courses first - you will get confused or frustrated from time to time - ask lots of questions - people are here to help you.

HERE ARE 3 WA'ers Training Posts - they helped me - one is vocabulary you use here - one is a detailed use of your dashboard to find anything you will need - one is a plug-in to add to WordPress - that will help you build your sties. Hope they help - they did me This one I wrote - deals with how to "close" for the result you want. Stay with it - you don't need a wish of good luck - you need a plea to study the material and stay at it no matter what - it will change your life and hopefully the people you touch with your message.
