Product Reviews are my nemesis

Why am I finding product reviews so difficult?

I have read and re read the trainings and I know how to write them in theory but each and every one has seemed like hard work. I have several half attempts written in save mode but I am either bored with writing it or cannot seem to find what to say next. It seems I get overwhelmed by the amount of information I want to give but can't scale it down to a readable article. Oh the frustration as I know this is a great way to monetise my sites. Anyone out there find the same thing or please does anyone have any ideas on how I can overcome this obstacle?

There are quite a few WA reviews written in this blog space. You can look them up by entering the words reviews in the search bar at the top of this page. The drop-down should show you a few; Just rewrite them!

That happens to me. I write 3 different review on WA and post one. Took me more than 1 month.

I have found that the best way to write a review is to extensively try the product that you are reviewing yourself.

When I wrote my Wealthy affiliate review, I wrote 5,5K words in just 4-5 days without any struggle.

I realized that it was because I had been using and exploring the Wealthy Affiliate platform myself for months before writing the review.

Hope this helps :)

Enthusiasm and knowledge are key but often we are writing about products we don’t like or promote . I need to get enthusiastic about disliking a product

Well, you don't have to get enthusiastic...

A personal review means that you are sharing your personal experience with this product with other people.

If you have tried a product and you didn't like it, you should be writing about the reasons that you didn't like it.

This is still a review.

In the end of the day, you want to help people and not trick them into buying something useless... :)

Pretend you are explaining the benefits of the product to a friend. What questions might they have?

I like to write down questions for headers. Answer the questions and write the content, and then go back, edit my information and then add an opening paragraph and summary paragraph at the end and then add in regular headers.

I also think of writing as a sculpture. You chip away at it a little at a time. I usually work on writing 2 or 3 different things at a time so I don't get bored with one review or article.

Once you find the approach that works for you...it gets easier.

I find it hard to write reviews too, Karen, I, in fact, I have at least a half dozen started and don't seem to find the inspiration to finish them... I think it is because we are not using our creative mind and letting go of all inhibitions to 'just write'. It does make a difference, and they are super boring!!

When I get stuck, the main strategy I use is to write the headings first.

If I get really stuck, I'll save it for a Friday night and write it after a few drinks. I'll then come back to it on a Monday and proof read it. Nothing like a few beers to get the words flowing. :)

Of course it also helps to be super passionate about the topic and know lots about it. I tend to get stuck when I develop websites that I really don't have an interest in.

Hope that helps somewhat! :)

Well that's my first giggle of the day. Do I need to wait until Friday to do a drunk review? Best plan I have ever heard of.
I will let you know how it goes
