I Was Totally Wrong About Just "Pay The Shipping Offers To Get Your Free Book"
I searched, but couldn't find the original post if it was on WA about my thoughts when people offered a "Free" book, but you just needed to pay around $8 for S&H.
I had considered that a rip off, because my thinking was the actual wholesale cost of the book with USPS Media rate S&H was less than $8 so they were making a profit on the "free" book.
That is technically true.
If I casually offered that deal to someone and they accepted, I would make a profit from the S&H.
The reality is the people offering this deal are actually LOSING $$$ on the Free book offer?
How is that possible?
If they are paying for advertising to get that offer in front of you they are losing money on the front end.
That sounds crazy!
Yes, it does and seems illogical until you understand just what they are doing.
In the process of offering you the "free" book they are also capturing your email which is worth money in the long run and they are also offering you something more that you could purchase for a higher value and a percentage of people will purchase those. That's referred to as the backend and that is where they make their money and profit.
Are you offering something on your websites so you can capture their email address?
The more I get into internet marketing, the more fascinating it is.
It's like looking behind the curtain at the Wizard of Oz. hahaha
