"Growing your own food is like printing your own money." ~ Ron Finley

Dear WA Tribe,

Here is the long-awaited 2nd article in my 'Remembering our Why' Series (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/megawealthy9/blog/rememberin...).

Why are we working so hard to be successful online with our website? What are we REALLY trying to achieve, beyond the success and the money? And do we have our priorities straight?

*

Today is about Love, Family, Honoring the Creation (our body and the environment), Being a Role Model, and Being Authentic.

*

LOVE, FAMILY, BEING A ROLE MODEL and BEING AUTHENTIC

Part of why I am working so hard on my website, Youtube channel, etc... is to have time to be with my close family, AND to make a difference in this world, to contribute to better living conditions for all children and adults on Earth, my extended human family.

What does that look like concretely?

I have an 11-year-old son from my first marriage. His name is Adam.

My ex-husband and I have shared custody, so Adam is not always with me and my second husband.

I do not want to be someone who says she works hard to make a difference for all children in this world, while not spending time with her own son.

How many people say they work hard for their family but barely spend any time with them because of work? How many people sacrifice the present for a future that may never come?

I want Adam to know that I love him and that he is my top priority for the few days he IS with me.

When I do HAVE to work when he is with me, I do my best to be honest with him about it. I explain why, I express my feelings AND we agree on a way to find a balance.

In short, I do my best to do as much as possible when he is NOT with me and to involve him in what I do when he IS with me, without forcing him.

And so, a couple of weekends ago, Adam and I went digging for gold together. :-)

HONORING THE CREATION (Our Body and the Environment)

Digging for gold?
That's absolutely what it felt like!

I mean, look at these cuties!! Most of them were orange but we also got a few yellow ones.

This is another reason I want to be successful! To be able to eat healthy food and take care of the environment.

AND, as Ron Finley said: "Growing your own food is like printing your own money."

So this is TOTALLY business related! ;-)

In my humble opinion, life is also about having our priorities straight. Do YOU have your priorities straight? Do you make your WHY's your priority or do you sacrifice them along the way?

By focusing on your true WHY's NOW you may realise that you already are much more successful than you thought! And you may reconnect with your deepest motivation. The type of motivation that will get you over that hurdle standing in front of you right now..

And each day is a new day. It's NEVER too late to make some adjustment... You can totally do this!

Have a beautiful week everyone!

To our Success,

Nathalie

Yes it is more than gold

Absolutely, Anusuya! :-) Even MORE than gold! 😊

Nathalie

I love this! You are spot on. It's easy to get caught up in building our business or businesses and neglect the most important things in our lives. It really pulls at me when my 1.5 year old daughter is asking for me all day and I can't be there because I am at work. I aim to change that soon!

Thanks for the read!

My pleasure, Deric! 😊

Thank you for sharing that part of your story. Your daughter is very lucky to have you as her father.

You got it! Yeey

Great topic Nathalie! Exactly why I quit my job and decided to stay with my kiddos because I don't want to sacrifice the times that I could be spending with them.

It was not an easy decision as we all have financial needs but with faith, balance and hard work with WA I am confident that it will all pay off.

By not being soooo busy with work as a healthcare professional it makes it easier to be mindful of our expenses and my passion in conserving our environment. As a mother, it's very important that we guide our kids with how we utilize our resources too aside from other things that we have to guide them with, which was very hard to do when I was a busy working mom. So good job to you Nathalie as your son is learning that from you.

Take care.

Nida

A beautiful post with a wonderful sentiment Nathalie. Striking the right balance is an art form in itself. Knowing that there should be a balance is half the battle. Hopefully your post will help some realise that they might need to add a little weight to one side or the other.

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation, Twack! :-)

Nathalie

You're always welcome.

😊
