Hey Daniel,

If you are only using the image link (NOT the iframe), then all you need to do is leave a space between the codes that bring the image to your page and then place the next image onto your page. Make sure you do NOT use a new line, simply a space.

Hope you find this helpful.

Brilliant I shall try this. I am a bit ocd when it comes to arrangeing things and if I can't get it right it really dose play on my mind

if you're an Amazon associate and you're not pretending the brand of water bottle is made by you, of your design, and you put a bit of your own spin on the image then yeah you should be alright.

I went ahead and emailed amazon directly and got a very fast T & C response as follows

Hello Daniel,

I understand you want to know more about the use of product images and reviews and I’m happy to help.

Both product images and customer reviews are protected by copyright law. As a result, the use of this content is governed by the policy set forth in our Operating Agreement and the Product Advertising API License Agreement. Neither images nor reviews may be copied directly from the Amazon site to be used on your site.

Image links can be created by using the linking tools available in Associate Central and the Site Stripe. Reviews cannot be copied from the Amazon site, however both reviews and product images are available via iframe by using the Associates Product Advertising API.

Images supplied by our Product Advertising API are prohibited from being stored or cached, however links to image content may be stored for a maximum of 24 hours before they must be refreshed with updated image links from the API or datafeed provided. Should you choose to store image links, we recommend you only store image links from products sold by Amazon and avoid storing image links for third party items sold on our marketplace.

You can review the acceptable use of our API via the following link:

It is always smart to ask the source. And as you now know from their email, if you are an Associate (which is their word for affiliate) of theirs you have access to image links.

But regardless of whether you are an Associate of theirs or not, it is a violation of their Operating Agreement for any product images and review content to be copied from their website. This is why I said not to copy anything.

This is the email I got from Jay, you can go on the Manufacturers website I know how you feel because I asked a lot of questions about this. Read what Jay wrote me below.

Hi Cynthia,
First off.. thank you for being a nurse!
I have a great respect for your work and think that you don't get enough credit for the hard work you do!

Your best option is to go directly to the manufacturer website and grab the images from there.

For example, your latest post mentions Instep..
Here is their website: http://www.instep.net/grand-safari-swivel-wheel-jogger-blue/

And here is the image:

I grabbed the image by right clicking the mouse and download the image.

Hope this helps!

P.S. Have an awesome weekend!

I had to remove the link he had because it wouldn't let me send this message unless I removed it.

Looks like Rob's (Boomer) got it covered -- his answer is clearly written for you ... all the best ... 😊

But give him what he needs, he needs help in getting images do you have a link to help him

you need to be careful with links on this platform -- most are considered 'spam' ... this is a spam-free platform ...
please kindly inform yourself and here's Kyle's blog on the rules: thank you kindly for your cooperation ... 😊

who do you think you are talking to I am not using links I said if you going to give someone advise then help them out don't just let them go with out helping them you told them the correct thing to do now give them answer, and btw I wasn't talking about a bad link I was talking about links that everybody here send so you can learn from.
Thank You Kindly darling.

Next time you come at me you better come correct, I am not a spamm I am just trying to help, that's why people don't like to help others because people like you don't read the whole message assuming, but you got the right one, I don't bag down, I pay my $49.00 a month just like every body else so don't get twisted.

If you are an affiliate of Amazon they will provide you with images. But if you are not an affiliate of theirs, do not copy anything from their website. If you do, you will be in violation of their terms of use agreement.

Well I use Amazon images way before I join them as an Affiliate and I still got Index as well they didn't say anything. I asked Jay he said you can go onto the sellers website of the image you want and get it and copy it to your website, because if your'er going to sell their product you have to use their images. I hope this help.
Cynthia

I don't think Amazon would be pleased. Perhaps you could contact them and get permission.

It seems a lot of sellers or sites all have the same image of curtain things. They must be getting them from somewhere

You are right there. I wonder where they get them?

I'm happy adding a affiliate links into my content but due to the nature of my site (camping equipment) I was thinking of adding a category into my menu bar called recommended

I probably wouldn't title it recommended gear but yes if you're building an eCommerce camping site you should have at least one product browsing page.

It would probably be a good idea for you to go and search through some of the more big named sites and businesses in your niche to see how they are going about it.

Maybe even gain some inspiration from them.

Examples would be Bass Pro Shop Wal-Mart is usually a good place for seeing how completed eCommerce site structure should be set.

Now as far as if Google will throw a flag on the play is a different story entirely.

Right now they are re-configuring and fine tuning their new ranking algorithm so I would, at least for now, keep it on the safe side until they get done playing with their new toy.

Because they are making some serious changes in the way they rank sites but you have probably already noticed this if you're watching the SERP's.

Would you have any good suggestions on how to label a shop without obviously calling it a shop.

I will wait till Google have finished what there doing before setting this in place. I hadn't been following and serps. But will start watching this lunch time to see what's happening in the Internet world.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Daniel,

The basic idea is very good ...

BUT! "Filling it with affiliate links" is definitely not the best approach ... Google could see you site as a thin affiliate site or even worse, as a link farm ... In which case you'll be penalized

The point: you need to build content around your links; recommended ratio 1 link/500 words

This is absolutely a great thing to do!
Monetization is the goal!
Don't worry too much about Google with Amazon Links - check out some of the top review sites of High Ticket TV Reviews etc....they have the Amazon code embedded into photos and as I understood from our training, links embedded into photos are not a concern!

For an example, you can take a look at the number of Amazon links per post are contained on my basicaidpack (dot com) website!

I'm sure you will get alot of answers to this question!

Barb of Easy-Moneys

What if I was to embed links into words aswell as images. Would that have a negative effect on my rankings. I'm yet to sell although it is early days. Just making sure I don't start heading in the wrong direction before I have a a following
